Coleman ‘Coley’ Coleman was born on October 7, 1973, in Cincinnati, Ohio, USA. Back in the day, he worked as a cameraman. He is most noted for his work on Ellen De Generes: American Summer Documentary (2001).

The 48-year-old real estate advisor also has one acting credit to his name. He had a small part in the movie The Dead Will Tell. The 2004 film starred Anne Heche, Chris Sarandon, Jonathan LaPaglia, and Eva Longoria, in pivotal roles.

When did Anne and Coleman get married?

Heche and Coleman met each other for the first time on Ellen DeGeneres’s stand-up comedy tour. The pair said their vows in the year 2001. They got married on September 1, 2001.

The couple welcomed their first child together the following year. Anne and Coleman were blessed with a baby boy in March 2002 in Los Angeles, California, the United States. The pair’s son Homer is 20 years old now. A twist in the fairytale romance of these lovebirds occurred when Heche met Canadian actor James Tupper in 2006.

At that time, Anne and James co-starred in an ABC series. Laffoon filed for divorce from the Hollywood actress on February 2, 2007, after five and a half years of marriage. 

The Another World star and Coleman’s divorce got finalized on March 4, 2009. Then, Laffoon went on to become a real estate broker and he married Alexi.

After his divorce from Anne Heche, Coleman moved ahead in his life. He tied the knot with Alexi in the year 2015. Their wedding took place on May 24, 2015. Laffoon and Alexi have been together ever since then.

As per the reports, the two of them attended Miami University. Alexi and Coleman have stood by each other’s side through thick and thin.

How many kids do Coleman and Alexi have?

The couple shares a total of three kids, two daughters, and one son. The names of Coleman and Alexi’s three children are as follows: Zoey Marine Laffon, Emmylou Polk Laffoon, and Wyatt Tennyson Laffoon.

Coleman and Alexi welcomed their first child together, daughter Zoey in the year 2014. Their baby girl Zoey is 8 years old now. Their second daughter Emmylou joined them earthside in the year 2016. At the moment, the pair’s second daughter Emmylou is five years old but she is going to turn six on August 26, 2022.

Alexi shared that she and Laffoon were expecting their third child together in November of 2020. At that time, she shared a few adorable snaps of the pair’s daughters Zoey and Emmylou in which the duo’s eldest can be seen holding the ultrasound photo.

The pair’s third child, son Wyatt Tennyson arrived in the world on June 20, 2021. At that time, Alexi shared the good news on Instagram a few days later and wrote, “Four days old. Home birth taught me how to be fully present more than I ever have in my life. Grateful to bring that awareness as these newborn days drift by.”

How did Coleman Laffoon react to Anne’s death?

In a video clip posted by Coleman on Friday, he said, “Hey, it’s Coley. In the wake of Anne’s passing, I just want to say a few things. One, I loved her and I miss her. And I’m always going to. Two, Homer is ok.”

Laffoon further added, “He’s grieving, of course and it’s rough, it’s really rough as probably anybody can imagine. But he’s surrounded by family and he’s strong and he’s gonna be ok. So for all those people checking in, thank you. Your check ins, showing us your heart, offering prayers, and everything, it’s so beautiful. Thank you.”

The real estate advisor went on to say, “It’s hard for me, it’s hard for my family, it’s really hard for Homer, but we’ve got each other and we have a lot of support and we’re going to be OK.”

He continued, “And I think Anne is probably…I’d think like to think she is free from pain and enjoying or experiencing whatever’s next in her journey. She came in hot and she had a lot to say and she was brave and fearless, loved really hard and was never afraid to let us know what she thinks and what she believed in. It was all about love so goodbye, Anne. Love you, thank you for the good times, there were so many. And in the meantime, I got our son and he will be fine. Love you.”

Coleman also posted a beautiful throwback picture of his ex-wife Anne and the pair’s son Homer on the social media platform Instagram. In the picture, Anne can be seen holding the pair’s son Homer. “It’s important to remember the real love in the best times. Thank you Anne. Peace on your journey,” he wrote alongside the picture of the mother-son duo.

Alexi also paid a heartfelt tribute to Anne Heche on social media

Coleman’s wife Alexi also paid a sweet tribute to the Men in Trees actress on the social networking service Instagram on Friday. She shared a note penned down by her and Laffoon’s daughter Emmylou on Instagram.

The note read, “Dear Anne, I hope you feel better soon. Sending lots of love and kisses. Emmylou and Mommy.” In addition to this, Alexi also expressed her thoughts on Anne’s passing away in the caption of the post. She wrote, “Thank you for the outpouring of support for our family. Anne and I shared a bond in motherhood through Homer.”

Coleman’s wife Alexi went on to say, “She always empowered and encouraged me as Homer’s ‘other mom,’ and was happy to see our family grow throughout the years. I am grateful to have witnessed her wild love for her sons, and for the gift of Homer who blesses my life more than words can say.”
