Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story’s First Look At The Young Queen Charlotte
Netflix & Shondaland have released the first photo from “Queen Charlotte: Bridgerton Story,” the limited prequel series based on the origins of Queen Charlotte, by Shonda Rhimes.
The first look presents India Amarteifio who stars as the Young Queen Charlotte in the upcoming mini series.
We can see the glittering crown on the head of the young queen flaunting a royal cape on top of the beautiful gowns that everyone has fallen in love with streaming the previous series.
The Netflix head, Bela Bajaria expressed in a statement about expanding their horizons for Bridgerton saying that “We are thrilled to be continuing our relationship with the creative team behind The Crown,” Bajaria said in a statement.
“ Our viewers have enjoyed spending time with Queen Charlotte and learning more about her story and we can’t wait to explore further out into the world of this beloved family.”
When Is The Mini Series Releasing?
Although it is a moment of pure joy and celebrating another Bridgerton show on our screens, unfortunately, we do not have an official release date on our hands.
Considering the series has just wrapped its filming early this month, it would be early to predict a premiere date soon.
On 3rd September the director Tom Verica announced on social media about the series wrapped and let the world know that Queen Charlotte is coming to take on our screens soon.
What to expect from the show?
The upcoming series about Queen Charlotte, wife of King George III, will focus on her life as a young woman through the challenges she faced leading up to and during her marriage.
In the first season of Bridgerton, audiences saw glimpses of Queen Victoria: an intimidating judge for the debutantes and a protective wife whose husband’s mental illness is beginning to show.
It’s expected that this series will explore a romanticized retelling of the true-life story as well as include historical details from Queen Charlotte’s early life.
The queen’s life is the centre of attention in Queen Charlotte, but other characters will also have their own unique storylines.
In fact, Violet Bridgerton and Lady Danbury from the prequel will both receive focus—as well as returning original character Queen Charlotte. The series will walk us through the younger versions of these characters.
