List of Marvel Phase 5 Movies and TV Shows

Marvel Phase V is going to start with Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. After a lot of disappointment among the fans with Phase IV, MCU’s Phase V will mostly deal with the Quantum Realm and Multiverse.

The Multiverse was first fully explored in the Loki Disney plus series and introduced Marvel Phase VI’s big bad villain Kang. Even though the series ended with a major cliffhanger, this time-traveling and mind-boggling series just gave us a teaser of how the MCU will change from Phase V.

What details do we have about Marvel Phase V?

The interesting thing is just like the Loki series’ Kang, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania’s main villain will be him as well. But this Kang is supposed to be a more evil variant of “He who remains”. The Ant-Man3 will put more focus on Quantum Realm than the Multiverse.

But the MCU has shown that there are some connections between these two fictional phenomena. Both can be used to travel to different universes, which was the main theme of the Avengers: Endgame.

Marvel chief Kevin Feige declared all the Phase V projects at San Diego Comic-Con earlier this year. He also teased some of his Phase VI projects like Fantastic Four, Avengers: Secret Wars, and Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, which made fans more excited than ever.

The official release date of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is February 17, 2023, and the trailer has already been out for quite a time. This particular movie will officially kick start Phase V of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Other than the previous superheroes, Cassie Lang is coming as a new superhero with her purple suit. Jonathan Majors’ Kang the Conquerer will reappear again after the Loki series.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3

The next adventure in the MCU will be in space with Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, which is set to hit the big screen on May 5, 2023. The plot of the film will start just where The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special events end.

This is supposed to be the last film where the core Guardians will team up for one last time. But the most exciting thing is Adam Warlock’s debut in the MCU. Warlock was first teased in the first Guardians movie, and this film is going to be his full-fledged appearance on the big screen.

Marvel Comics’ High Evolutionary is set to become the main villain of the movie. According to the director James Gunn, this film will particularly focus on Rocket Racoon’s origin story. That will be a fascinating aspect of this film.

The Marvels

Little detail is shared about this film so far. But The Marvels will start right from where the Ms. Marvel Disney Plus series ended. All details just reveal Carol Danvers, aka, Captain Marvel will feature in this film with Ms. Marvel and Monica Rambeau. There is no solid report on who is going to be the main villain of this film.

But this movie is supposed to be fun. As all these three female superheroes’ powers are somehow connected. Whenever they will use their powers, their places swap mysteriously. As per recent updates, The Marvels will hit the theatres on July 28, 2023.

Captain America: New World Order

Captain America: New World Order is one of the much-hyped films in the Phase V list of films. As usual, Sam Wilson will be the new Captain America in this film after the events of Falcon and Winter Soldier.

But the fascinating thing is long forgotten Phase I character, Leader will be the primary antagonist of this film. Harrison Ford will play the role of Thunderbolt Ross for the first time in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Right now, the film is scheduled to release on May 3, 2024.

Thunderbolts

Right next to Captain America, his sidekick, Bucky, aka Winter Soldier or White Wolf, will return on screen with Phase V’s biggest film Thunderbolts. In the Marvel comics, Thunderbolts is a group of antiheroes who are quite brutal to finish the Government’s dirty tasks.

In simple language, Thunderbolts are the MCU version of DCU’s Suicide Squad. Characters like Ghost, U.S. Agent, Valentina, Yelena Belova, Red Guardian, and Taskmaster will team up in this film and they will be led by Bucky. The official release date is still July 26, 2024, but it may change in the future.

Balde

The last film in MCU will be the most awaited Mahershala Ali’s Blade. Phase IV’s Eternals gave the last hint of Blade in the MCU. After that, he will appear as the superhero in his solo film. After Bassam Tariq left the directorial role in the film, Marvel hired Yann Demange to direct the film. For these uncertainties, the new release date is shifted to 6th September 2024.
