The Black Phone is well worth seeing, and the filming locations are well worth exploring. Critics overwhelmingly praised it for its performances and truthfulness to the source material.

Finney Shaw, a shy but bright 13-year-old boy, is being held captive in a soundproof basement by a psychopathic, masked killer.

When a disengaged phone on the wall begins to ring, he quickly realizes that he can listen to the voices of the killer’s previous victims. And they are determined that what happened to them does not happen to Finney.
