Jon Favreau recently received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame
Jon Favreau is a Hollywood Walk of Famer now! On Monday, February 13, 2023, the superstar was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in Hollywood, California. During his Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony, he was accompanied by Robert Downey Jr. and Chef Roy Choi.
Favreau received the 2,746th star on the Walk of Fame, for his contribution to television and films. At one moment during the star-studded event, RDJ took out his gum and stuck it on Favreau’s star while the cameras kept flashing, and he joked around and said, “Just to make it official.”
Over the years, Favreau has worked in television and as well as films. He started his acting career by starring in the 1993 underdog classic Rudy. He essayed the character of Dennis “D-Bob” McGowan in the movie. He also appeared in the hit sitcom Friends as Monica’s millionaire boyfriend, Pete.
In addition to this, Jon has also served as showrunner and executive producer of Disney+’s Star Wars properties, The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett.

In his introduction, Robert Downey Jr. talked about their work together on the first Iron Man film and he said, “Sixteen years ago this week, Jon and I were in pre-production on what felt like a high-concept indie and we were fueled by this infectious yet unfounded confidence. I was beyond grateful for the power of second chances.”
The Avengers: Endgame star went on to say, “The ride I’ve shared with him is too kismetastic to even imagine, and yet it’s only a small part of his larger storytelling journey that continues to leave us elevated, inspired, and connected.”
For those of you who are unversed, let us share with you, Robert and Jon’s friendship dates back to 2008. The two of them worked together on the MCU series for the first time in the year 2008. At that point, they joined hands for the 2008 film Iron Man.
Then, Favreau played the role of Happy, Iron Man’s bodyguard and friend in six more movies. After Robert’s character died in the film franchise, he continued his run in the Marvel movies as a close friend of Tom Holland‘s Spider-Man. Apart from this, Robert and Jon also shared the screen in the 2014 film Chef, which was directed, written, and co-produced by Favreau.
