The couple worked on hit songs like Arthur’s Theme (Best That You Can Do), On My Own, and That’s What Friends Are For. After a long hiatus, Bacharach made a comeback in 2016 and composed the original score for the film A Boy Called Po. In 2020, he worked on the album Blue Umbrella with Daniel Tashian, which got nominated for the Grammys.

Acting Appearances

Bacharach also made appearances in some television shows and films through the 1960s and ’70s. He starred in the NBC musicals An Evening with Burt Bacharach and Another Evening with Burt Bacharach. He also had cameo roles in the Austin Powers films and appeared in commercials for Martini & Rossi.

The musician also invested a huge amount in real estate. In 1998, he bought a house in the Pacific Palisades area of Los Angeles for $2.5 million. The property is said to be worth $12 to 15 million today. In 2015, Bacharach bought another home for $5.5 million. The mansion is situated in the beach community of Del Mar, California.
