It’s time to quit guessing, as Apple has finally launched its latest iPhone series globally. Alongside iPhone 13, Apple also launched iPad Mini and Apple Watch Series 7. We will talk about the iPad Mini and the new Apple Watch in a separate post. First, let’s take a detailed look at all the features of the most awaited Apple product – the iPhone 13.
iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Mini: Features
To begin with, the latest iPhone 13 has almost the same design as that of the iPhone 12. But this time, you will get a 20% smaller notch in the latest release. The display of both, iPhone 13 and 13 Mini is brighter and more power-efficient, compared to its predecessor.
Coming to the powerhouse, both these iPhone 13 model features 5nm, A15 Bionic processor. This will make sure that the device will offer the best performance compared to its competition. Further, the newly introduced chipset will also fasten up the performance of the AI and ML features. It was one of the most important updates for the device as these features were terribly slow in the launched iOS 15 betas.
For taking beautiful pictures, both iPhone 13 and 13 Mini feature a 12+12 megapixel dual-camera setup at the back. The first 12 megapixel is a wide sensor, and it features the same image stabilization hardware that is found in iPhone 12 Pro Max. The other 12 megapixel is for taking ultra-wide shots, and it also promises to offer improved outputs.
The battery life is one aspect on which every iPhone lover keeps his eyes. But similar to other iPhone launches, this year too, Tim didn’t talk much about the battery life of the latest iPhone. However, it has been announced that the iPhone 13 will offer 2.5 hours more battery life than the iPhone 12.
If we talk about storage, we have three different options – 128 GB, 256 GB, and 512 GB. Some other features of iPhone 13 and 13 Mini are 5G support, and MagSafe. Lastly, both these iPhone 13 models are available in five color variants – Pink, Blue, Red, Starlight, and Midnight.
iPhone 13 Pro, and iPhone 13 Pro Max: Features
Now that we have gone through the features of the iPhone 13 base models, let’s check out what iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max have for us in their box. This time, Tim Cook is calling these two models of iPhone 13 the “proest” iPhone ever. Similar to the base models, the pros also have a 20% smaller notch. And these two models are available in four color variants – graphite, gold, silver, and Sierra blue.
The pros also feature the same chipset, therefore the performance will be almost similar to the base models. The iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max come along with a ProMotion display that gives you the access to adjust the refresh rate between 10 Hz to 120 Hz.
Coming to the camera option, the pro model features a triple-camera set up at the back. This time the ultrawide shooter gives you the access to take macro shots, a newly introduced feature to iPhone. This feature has been with Android for a long. And this newly introduced feature in iPhone makes sure that you can take pictures within 2cm of the object. Further, iPhone 13 Pro’s have one more newly introduced feature in the camera segment, i.e. dedicated night mode. All three cameras placed at the back features a night mode that will make sure that you take the best photographs even in low lighting conditions.
The iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max will also come along with ProRess video at 4K/30fps. Now if we talk about the battery life, compared to 12 Pro Max, the 13 Pro Max will give you 2.5 power of more battery life. Whereas, the 13 Pro battery will stand 1.5 power longer than the 12 Pro.
Lastly, if we talk about the storage, the Pro’s will offer 4 different options – 128 GB, 256 GB, 512 GB, and 1TB.
iPhone 13 Series: Pricing And Availability
The pricing of the iPhone 13 Mini starts at $699. Whereas, the pricing of the iPhone 13 will start at $799. Talking about the pro’s model, the pricing of the iPhone 13 Pro will start at $999. Whereas, the pricing of the iPhone 13 Pro Max will start at $1,099. All these prices are for the 128 GB variant. The pricing will increase respectively if you will go for the higher storage variant.
Coming to the availability of the iPhone 13 series, pre-orders for all the models will start from September 17 in UK, US, Japan, China, Australia, Canada, and India.
