Popular Mexican entertainer Julián Figueroa has left for the heavenly abode. The unfortunate news of the famed singer-songwriter and telenovela actor’s death was confirmed by ANDI Mexico, a.k.a. the country’s performers guild, on social media on Sunday night.

Mexican singer-songwriter Julián Figueroa dies at 27
Julián Figueroa, the son of actress Maribel Guardia and the late Mexican music icon Joan Sebastian is no longer with us. He took his last breaths this weekend. At the time of his passing, he was only 27 years old.
As per Deadline, a tweet from the organization ANDI Mexico when translated into English read, “The National Association of Performers communicates the death of member Julián Figueroa.” The post further read, “Actor and singer, has launched various albums like ‘Julián Figueroa y su banda.’ To his family and friends, our sincerest condolences. ”
What was the cause behind the death of Julián Figueroa?
Guardia who resided with her son Julián Figueroa was at the theatre that night. On Monday, she took to her Instagram page and wrote, “It saddens me to announce the passing of my beloved son Julián Figueroa, who has unfortunately preceded us in parting from this level.”
She went on to say, “They called 911 and when the ambulance and police arrived, they found him already lifeless, with no traces of violence. The medical report indicates that he died of an acute myocardial infarction and ventricular fibrillation.”
As per John Hopkins Medicine, an acute myocardial infarction is simply a medical term used for a heart attack which also defines ventricular fibrillation as a dangerous type of irregular heartbeat.
Maribel further added, “I pray for understanding for the deep pain we are going through. I would like to talk to all the people who are trying to communicate but I really don’t have the strength to do it yet.”
Guardia ended the Instagram post by writing, “I’m thankful for all the messages of support and love that you have been sending me but at this moment I have no soul to answer anyone, I hope I can do it another time.” Julián‘s funeral services will be held in private, next to the closest people who loved him the most.
The Mexican ballad singer is survived by his wife Ime Garza, 6-year-old son José Julián and siblings José Manuel, Juliana, Zarelea, Marcelina and Joana. His ladylove Garza is also a singer and actress by profession.
Ime Garza, Figueroa’s wife of 6 years mourned the loss of her husband on the social media platform Instagram. She wrote, “I love you forever. You are in a better place with your dad, and you leave me with my heart broken into a thousand pieces, but with many happy memories and lots of laughter, fly high love.”

Julián Figueroa’s last Instagram post saw the light on Sunday. At that time, he paid a heartfelt tribute to his late father Joan Sebastián whose birthday was on Saturday on the social media platform Instagram. Sebastian would have turned 72 years old.
“How slowly 8 years have gone by, since the day you left time tastes more bitter. And people proclaim that time is a fix for everything, but this is a vile lie, it hurts more every day, and this is without fear of hurting sensibilities,” he wrote alongside a throwback picture of himself and his famous dad.
Julián continued, “Fans acclaim, ‘Long live the People’s Poet,’ but I don’t care, I just want my father. To hell with the Grammys, with fame and money, because the only I want is to hug you one more time. I love you dad and if your death hurts it’s because your life was very valuable to me.”

Julián was well noted by the fans for his singing skills and being the heir of legendary musician Joan Sebastian who passed away in 2015 at the age of 64. His father died on July 13, 2015, in Teacalco, Mexico, following a battle with bone cancer.
