Who is Rose Montoya? All About Trans Activist Who Went Topless at White House

Lately, Rose Montoya who is a transgender activist and model has grabbed the headlines! Not long ago, she went topless at the White House during a Pride event and caused a stir online.

For those of you who are unaware, let us share with you, US President Joe Biden’s administration hosted the world’s largest Pride celebration in history on June 10, 2023.

Rose Montoya is a transgender activist who recently bared her breasts at the White House. She took to her TikTok page to share with her fans all over the world that she was invited to attend the Pride Month celebration organized by the President of the United States, Joe Biden, and First Lady Jill Biden.

In the TikTok video shared by Montoya, she showed her fans what happened during the event which consisted of a speech by the POTUS Joe Biden, festivities, and taking photos with the president.

At one point in time, during the Pride Month celebration event, Montoya appeared topless on the White House lawn along with other members of the LGBTQ community. In the clip shared, Joe can be seen telling the crowd, “Happy Pride Month! Happy Pride Year! Happy Pride Life!” He called the members of the LGBTQ community “the bravest and most inspiring” people he’s ever met.

After the Pride Month event at the White House, Montoya spilled the beans on the whole incident on social media. She even posted a video from her time at the Pride Month celebration on the social media platform Instagram.

“I had the honor of attending White House Pride, the largest one in history where the pride flag flew for the first time. This is trans joy. We’re here at the white house unapologetically trans, queer, and brown 💕,” she wrote in the caption of the Instagram post.

In one of the TikTok videos, Montoya shed some light on her personal life and shared her experiences and views on being in a polyamorous relationship. She also spoke about the liberation it has brought her.

Rose said, “For a while, I thought that there was something wrong with me. I thought that I was simply too codependent or that was too nerdy or that I, you know, had unrealistic needs or asks.”

The social media influencer further added, “But the truth of the fact is, I have so much love to give and it’s too much for one person and I require so much love that one individual cannot meet it and that’s why I’m so thankful for polyamory because polyamory is the agreement that we don’t ever ask or expect any one individual to meet all our need.”

The 27-year-old transgender activist told her 800k followers on the social media app TikTok that she struggles with jealousy in relationships. She explained that she is dependent on multiple partners to satisfy her “high-maintenance” ways. She went on to say, “When I stopped relying on one individual to meet that need, it liberated me.”

In a separate TikTok video, Montoya also spoke about how she found it hard to juggle numerous relationships and compartmentalize them from one another. She said, “No one tells you how hard it is for a relationship to change or end while you’re polyamorous and have another relationship that shouldn’t be unaffected … but it is being affected because of spillage.”

Rose Montoya is a transgender activist, model, and social media influencer. She was born on October 10, 1995, in Idaho, United States which means she is 27 years old at the moment. She grew up with 4 siblings.

While growing up, Montoya learned the American Sign Language as her mom worked as a sign language interpreter. Her dad worked as a pastor at their church, meanwhile, her mother worked as a Christian missionary. She learned that she was attracted to men in 10th grade.

Montoya came out as gay in the year 2010 when she was in high school. Soon after, she began performing drag in college and came out as transgender in 2015. During the same year, she graduated with a bachelor of arts degree in film studies from Seattle University. The next year, she came out as bisexual.

In 2019, Rose came out as nonbinary. At the moment, she goes by she/her/hers and they/them their/ theirs pronouns. Over the last couple of years, she has been a part of a couple of projects such as The Q Agenda, TomboyX, Yandy, and Agent of Change.

The content creator who has 105k followers on the social media platform Instagram right now mentions in her bio that she is an Out 100 Nominee alongside Symone, Elvira, and Elliot Page. She also states that she was nominated in the ‘Favourite TikToker’ category at the 10th Annual Queerty Awards.

In the past, the Seattle University graduate has collaborated with many renowned brands and organizations including Fenty Beauty, TikTok, Instagram, Planned Parenthood, and Fluide Beauty amongst many others.

Rose has received a lot of backlash online since the time, the White House TikTok went viral. One social media user wrote, “The level of disrespect is disgusting. You were fine until you went topless. No class or dacorum.”

Followed by a second user who penned, “you need help… psychiatric help. That was rude, disrespectful and inappropriate. I fully support all people of all orientations but I do not support this.”
