Yeah, you read that right. Elon has finally found a new chief executive officer for Twitter. In his latest tweet, he confirmed the same but he didn’t reveal the name of the person. It has been reported by Wall Street Journal that NBCUniversal executive Linda Yaccarino was in talks for the job.
Musk tweeted, “Excited to announce that I’ve hired a new CEO for X/Twitter. She will be starting in ~6 weeks! My role will transition to being exec chair & CTO, overseeing product, software & sysops.”

For those of you who are unaware, let us share with you, Elon who took over as the CEO of Twitter after purchasing the company for a whopping $44 billion in October 2022 mentioned in December that he would step aside as CEO once he found “someone foolish enough to take the job.”
At that point in time, Musk also shared that he would like to be the one responsible for Twitter’s software and servers teams. The media outlet Wall Street Journal has stated that sources well-versed with the whole situation have said that Yaccarino was in talks for the top post.

Yaccarino joined NBCUniversal in November 2011. Then, she came on board as President of Cable Entertainment & Digital Advertising Sales. After a year, she was promoted to Chairman, Advertising & Client Partnerships.
While playing the role of chairman of advertising and client partnerships, Linda has been credited with changing the organization’s advertising and partnership by getting individual network teams together and serving as the ‘bridge’ across NBC properties.
When we talk about the roles and responsibilities of Yaccarino, she manages over $10 billion in revenue annually. In the year 2020, she became Chairman of Global Advertising & Partnerships at NBCUniversal.
