Many people have centred their interest in Katrina Pierson as the ongoing January 6 hearings brought forth several surprises, one being the testimony of this lady. During the hearing Tuesday (July 12), the House committee played a pre-recorded testimony of Pierson.
Katrina Pierson, who was Trump’s former national campaign spokesperson, was heard saying, “Trump “likes the crazies,” she said in taped testimony. “He loves people who … would be very, very vicious in publicly defending him.” So who is Katrina Pierson? Read on to learn everything about her.
Straight From The Donald Trump’s Ally…
During a bombshell public hearing Tuesday (July 12), the U.S. House panel probing the Jan. 6 riots revealed key details about the events leading up to the Capitol attack, including new testimony from Donald Trump’s former national campaign spokeswoman Katrina Pierson, a North Texas native.
The committee also saw text interactions between former Trump allies Pierson and Brad Parscale. In the texts seen during the case, the two were seen discussing the January 6, 2021 insurrection. The emails and messages reflected concerns she had about the rally, including that the speaking slots were going to “very suspect” people such as Infowars conspiracy theorist Alex Jones and Ali Alexander, founder of the “stop the steal” movement.
Katrina Pierson’s Political Career
Katrina Pierson, a 45-year-old American communication consultant and activist, previously served as the national spokesperson for Donald Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign but she had already met Donald in 2015.
Katrina Pierson is a 45-year-old American communication consultant and activist. She previously served as the national spokesperson for Donald Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign. She met Trump in 2015. The Kansas-based consultant started her political career as an activist in the Tea Party movement in 2009 and founded a local Tea Party group in Garland, Texas.
To take it to the next level, she participated in the 2014 Texas congressional elections against congressman Pete Sessions to represent Texas’s 32nd district. She lost despite being endorsed by Rafael Cruz and Sarah Palin.
Political Breakup With Trump…
Katrina Pierson was the unconventional leading voice of Trump’s unconventional campaign when she became his national spokeswoman. As a staunch supporter, she earned a reputation for her sharp-elbowed style, occasional high-profile misstatements and snarky rhetoric.
However, Pierson called it quits with Trump, of course politically, and used her experience as his national campaign spokesperson to back underdog candidate Don Huffines who stood to replace Trump-endorsed Gov. Greg Abbott in the Texas gubernatorial Republican primary. Sadly, Don Huffines failed while the incumbent won the Republican nomination. Well, Pierson didn’t leave any stone unturned.
Katrina Hits Back…
As Katrina’s testimony shakes the U.S. House panel probing the Jan. 6 riot, it is pertinent to note that Roger Stone, who is a high-profile Trump ally, put forward Pierson’s Jan. 6 committee subpoena back in the spotlight in November last year when he appeared to accuse her for her involvement in the U.S Capitol attack.
In October, Omarosa Manigault Newman, who served as Trump’s White House advisor, stated that the House panel was on the right track in investigating Katrina Pierson. In her defense, Pierson stated, “I am not concerned with libellous allegations made by washed-up attention seekers and an actually convicted felon who are desperate for relevance,” while referring to the seven felonies Stone was convicted of in federal court in November 2019.

If you don’t know, last month, the House Select Committee investigating the attack on the US Capitol on January 6, 2021, and the events leading up to it, convened its first public meeting to reveal their conclusions after 11 months of investigation. Not only this, but the committee also played never-before-seen footage of the riot, revealing that protesters were seen slamming windows and crashing over barricades.
According to CNN, the “pre-produced, previously unseen video” revealed the series of attacks by a mob since the morning of January 6, 2021, leading up to the breach of the Capitol. The clip showed officers being pushed by a mob, with one of them shouting, “I need support.”
The probe panel headed by Bennie Thompson concluded that former US President Trump was “at the centre of a coordinated effort to reverse President Joe Biden’s 2020 election victory and provoked the violence at the Capitol on January 6 last year.” More than 725 people have been arrested for their links to the brutal riot.
The committee comprises seven Democrats and two Republicans and has gathered its year-long investigation, with the present testimony coming as a surprise bomb to the general public. The House panel is probing the links between Trump’s election lies, his attempt to overturn Joe Biden’s election win, and the violence on January 6, 2021, when a violent mob stormed the US Capitol in an attempt to disrupt the counting of electoral votes.
Alexander and Jones have been called to testify to the House panel investigating the riot. As for the recent testimony, lawyers for Jones and Alexander and representatives from Trump’s post-presidential office did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
