As per various media reports, the confirmed passengers on the missing submarine are as followers: British billionaire Hamish Harding, Pakistani businessman Shahzada Dawood and his teenage son, Suleman, and French explorer Paul-Henri Nargeolet.
It has been reported by the media outlet CBS News, that Stockton Rush, the CEO of the company OceanGate, which operates the vessel is also on it. The company referred to the trip as a “chance to step outside of everyday life and discover something truly extraordinary.”

Hamish Harding is a British businessman and explorer who is the chairman of the Dubai-based aircraft operations company called Action Aviation. In addition to this, he is also the founder of the private equity investment company Action Group. At the moment, he is 58 years old.

In the past, the British business mogul has been described as a billionaire by the British press, however, the Forbes magazine stated that he has not been included on its list of the world’s richest people.
Apart from being a familiar name in the business world, Hamish is well-known for his adventures. He holds three adventure-related Guinness Book of World Records, including the “fastest circumnavigation of Earth via both the geographic poles” by airplane, which he and his team were able to accomplish in the year 2019 in a span of a little over 46 hours.
Last year in June, the philanthropist was one of the passengers on a flight of Jeff Bezos’ Blue Origin which flew to the edge of the space. We must say, it seems like he loves to go on different expeditions.
In a June 17 post shared on the social media platform Facebook, Hamish stated that he was “proud” to be joining the expedition. He went on to say, “The team on the sub has a couple of legendary explorers, some of which have done over 30 dives to the RMS Titanic since the 1980s including PH Nargeolet.”
Prior to the Titanic expedition, Harding shared on Facebook that the mission was “likely to be the first and only manned mission to the Titanic in 2023” because of weather conditions.
In a statement released on Tuesday, Mark Butler, the managing director of the company Action Aviation stated that the company and Hamish’s family are “very grateful for all the kind messages of concern and support from our friends and colleagues.” He went on to say, “[W]e look forward to welcoming him home.”
Shahzada Dawood and his son Suleman Dawood
Pakistani businessman Shahzada Dawood and his 19-year-old son Suleman Dawood are also on the missing Titanic OceanGate submarine. Shahzada Dawood is the vice-chairman of one of Pakistan’s largest fertilizer companies which goes by the name of Engro Corporation. The company is based in Karachi, Pakistan.
As per BBC, the British-Pakistani multi-millionaire and his family moved from their home in London to Canada a month prior to the Titanic expedition. It has been reported by the media outlet, that Shahzada had a lot of interest in exploring natural habitats and renewable energies.
Apart from being the vice-chairman of Engro Corporation, Dawood also runs the telecom and agriculture-focused Dawood Hercules Corporation Limited. He also has a foundation called The Dawood Foundation which is focused on education access in Pakistan. He is also on the board of trustees of the SETI Institute in California.
Up until this moment, the exact net worth of the business tycoon Shahzada Dawood is unknown. As per The Daily Beast, he is also a member of the British Asian Trust, a charity started by the British Royal Family. He is a close friend of King Charles III.

The statement issued by the Dawood Family to The Associated Press read, “We are very grateful for the concern being shown by our colleagues and friends and would like to request everyone to pray for their safety while granting the family privacy at this time.”
It further read, “The family is well looked after and are praying to Allah for the safe return of their family members.”
Paul-Henri Nargeolet, Mr. Titanic
One of the five passengers aboard the submersible vessel is none other than the Titanic expert Paul-Henri Nargeolet. As per the official website of OceanGate, he has previously led six expeditions to the ship’s wreckage site. The company has called him, “Titanic’s Greatest Explorer.”
Nargeolet is also the director of underwater research for RMS Titanic, an American company that owns the salvage rights to the wreck and operates exhibits featuring artifacts from the ship. According to the company, around 30 million people have visited its exhibits.
Stockton Rush, CEO of OceanGate
Stockton Rush is among the crew of a submarine that went missing on Sunday. He is the CEO of the company OceanGate which is running the expedition. In the year 2009, he founded OceanGate. He is responsible for the company’s financial and engineering strategies.
