President Joe Biden is in hot water as Donald Trump gears up with his presidential campaign, amid his criminal charges. The Democratic politician was photographed holding a cheat sheet, detailing a Los Angeles Times reporter, Courtney Subramanian’s question before the joint press conference with the South Korean President on Wednesday (April 26, 2023).
The photographs ignited massive backlash as the United States president is accused of having prior knowledge of the question related to alliance-based foreign policy. Another cheat sheet also revealed the names of the Biden administration official to relay the order remarks. Read on to know all about the cheat sheet controversy.
What Is Joe Biden’s Cheat Sheet Controversy?
President Joe Biden has been accused of hiding cheat sheets since 2021, as Republicans continue to dig deeper into why he refrains from answering the crucial question. Now, the POTUS was once again photographed, hiding a cheat sheet, which detailed a Los Angeles Times journalist, Courtney Subramanian’s question which read:
“How are YOU squaring YOUR domestic priorities — like reshoring semiconductors manufacturing — with alliance-based foreign policy?
The photographs were taken at a joint press conference with South Korean President, Yoon Suk Yeol. The event took place to celebrate 70 years of US-South Korean ties, in the White House Rose Garden in Washington, DC, on Wednesday (April 25, 2023).
Biden was also photographed with another crib sheet, which detailed the order in which his administration officials were supposed to speak. The cheatsheet has once again fuelled Republican speculations on Biden’s mental health to run the country. These revelations came two days after he announced his presidential run for the 2024 elections.
Now if you’re not aware of what a cheat sheet is, it’s something like a concise set of notes, commonly referred to as a crib sheet, used for quick reference. These cheat sheets have been used since time immemorial by students to cheat on a test or an examination. Recent photographs have drawn criticism from Republicans who are questioning Biden’s ability for another presidential run, but this isn’t the first time.
Joe Biden Previously Held Questionable Cheat Sheets
While these crib sheets do not reflect any propaganda, Republicans have often used this subject to mock Biden’s mental fitness to run the country. Last year in June, Biden was seen holding a cheat sheet, which included basic directions for him, like: “YOU take YOUR seat”, “YOU give brief comments”, and “YOU depart”, among others.
Titled “Offshore Wind Drop-By Sequence of Events”, the document tells the president to “enter the Roosevelt Room and say hello to participants.” Another note read, “YOU take YOUR seat.” It also included a note: “Press arrives” followed by “YOU give brief comments (2 minutes).” One note read: “YOU thank participants” and “YOU depart.”

In July 2021, Biden was captured with a note from an aide that read: “Sir, there is something on your chin.” In February 2023, Biden’s doctors suggested that Biden is in perfect health, but also declined to answer questions from reporters.
In March, President Biden unexpectedly called out Russian President, Vladimir Putin, and asked him to be removed from power following the Russian invasion of Ukraine. The White House had to later withdraw the statement. While his intentions were true, it wasn’t for the president to comment on another country’s internal actions.
Having said that the opposition and their followers have construed vague theories, for instance, speculating that Biden may be suffering from a possible case of “dementia”. The president is being trolled across the internet for using cheat sheets for even the most basic things.

During the crucial press conference, Joe Biden highlighted some important issues, such as the consequences of a nuclear attack by North Korea against the United States or its allies would result in the “end of the regime”, adding that the US would act swiftly and the response would be devastating.
But, all of the above got overshadowed once Biden was found with those cheat sheets, which in general, do not question his intentions or highlight any sort of propaganda. Despite this, the president became a victim of several trolls as people continue to question his ability to run the country.

As Biden gears up for re-election, many feel that the POTUS is too old to lead the nation. Others called the moment “shady”. Last year, conservative host, Sean Hannity from Fox News sarcastically tweeted, “HOLY SHEET! Biden’s Presidential Cheat Sheet Leaks Online, Reminds Him to Sit Down.”

Joe Biden has made use of cue cards since his 2020 presidential campaign. While Republicans are pulling him down for his capabilities, it is important to recall that everything seems small in front of former president Donald Trump, who became the first president to face criminal charges in the history of the United States.
Earlier this month, Trump was officially arrested following 32 felony counts. The Republican Party politician was booked on April 5, 2023, by the Manhattan District Attorney’s office and arraigned in an adjacent NYC courtroom, becoming the first criminally charged former president.
Per the charges, Donald Trump “made and caused a false entry in the business records of an enterprise”. Not only this, but he also “misreported the nature of the $130,000 payment to adult film star Stormy Daniels”. It is reported that this was used as “hush money” to keep her from talking about her affair with Trump. There are other charges for paying hush money for “phony purposes”.
Trump recently made a post-arrest plea for his “absent wife”, Melanie, and urged her to be by his side. Melanie reportedly agreed to be a fixture for his campaign following her absence from his speech at Mar-A-Lago. While Republicans continue to question Biden’s capabilities, the country surely doesn’t deserve Donald Trump in power.
