In the NBA finals game, Denver Nuggets defeated the Miami Heat.
In the demand letters obtained by the publication TMZ, Ariel Mitchell, the lawyer who represents the alleged victim, states that the incident saw the light of day just after Denver Nuggets won on June 9 at the Kaseya Center in Florida.
During the NBA finals game, Conor was seen sitting courtside. Apart from this, he even took part in a halftime skit where he punched a Heat mascot many times while promoting his Tidl Sport recovery spray. As per the letters obtained, McGregor “violently” sexually assaulted a woman inside of a men’s bathroom at one point during the evening.
In the letters, Mitchell claimed that the Denver Nuggets and the Miami Heat security helped separate the woman from her friend and took her to the restroom where the alleged sexual assault happened. As of this moment, Conor has not been charged with a crime.
In the demand letters, Ariel, the alleged victim’s attorney says, “Security refused to let [the woman] exit or allow anyone else, including her friend, inside the bathroom.” Soon after, the lawyer claimed that Conor came from inside of a “handicap stall and shoved his tongue in the victim’s mouth and aggressively kissed her.”
Conor McGregor denies the allegations
Conor McGregor who is a former Ultimate Fighting Championship champion has denied the allegations that have been pressed against him. His attorney Barbara Llanes told People magazine, “The allegations are false. Mr. McGregor will not be intimated.”
UFC and Miami Heat issue statements in response to Conor McGregor rape allegations
On Thursday afternoon, Miami Heat released a statement that read, “We are aware of the allegations and are conducting a full investigation. Pending the outcome of the investigation, we will withhold further comment.”
Soon after, UFC also put a statement to address the alleged incident. In the statement released, the UFC officials said, “The organization is aware of the recent allegations regarding Conor McGregor and will continue to gather additional details regarding the incident. UFC will allow the legal process to play out before making any additional statements.”
