Tom Sizemore’s Family Deciding ‘End-Of Life Matters’, No Hope For His Recovery

Veteran actor Tom Sizemore, who was hospitalised earlier this month after suffering a brain aneurysm, has remained critical, in a coma, and in the intensive care unit. As the doctors suggested that there is no chance for his recovery, the “Pearl Harbor” actor’s family has decided “end-of-life-matters”.

A Tough Decision For Tom’s Family

Tom Sizemore’s family is deciding”end-of-life matters” following the doctor’s update. The “Heat” actor, who was hospitalised earlier this month following a brain aneurysm, has remained in critical condition, in a coma and in the intensive care unit.

A statement was released by Tom Sizemore’s rep, Charles Lago on Monday (Feb. 27). Lago stated, “Today, doctors informed his family that there is no further hope and have recommended end of life decision. The family is now deciding end-of-life matters and a further statement will be issued on Wednesday.”

He continued, “We are asking for privacy for his family during this difficult time and they wish to thank everyone for the hundreds of messages of support, and prayers that have been received. This has been a difficult time for them.”

What Happened To Tom Sizemore?

On February 18, Tom Sizemore collapsed at his Los Angeles home in the early hours. His manager released a statement that he had suffered a brain aneurysm, that occurred as a result of a stroke. He has remained in critical condition, in a coma and in the intensive care unit since.

If you aren’t aware, a brain aneurysm is “a bulge or ballooning in a blood vessel in the brain. An aneurysm often looks like a berry hanging on a stem. It can leak or rupture, causing bleeding into the brain (hemorrhagic stroke).”

During his career spanning more than four decades, Tom has starred in hit movies like “Heart and Souls” and “Pearl Harbor”. Known for playing the tough guy, Tom rose to fame in the 90s with “Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man”, “True Romance” and “Natural Born Killer”.

Tom’s big break came with Steven Spielberg’s 1998 war film “Saving Private Ryan,” where he played Technical Sergeant Mike Horvath. The movie won a best picture nomination at the Oscars. Before his condition, he appeared in “C.L.E.A.N” (2020), a horror/thriller indie film that won a Vegas Movie award. He won another Vegas Movie Award in 2021 for “The Electric Man”.

Last year, he joined the cast of The Legend of Jack and Diane, a female-fronted revenge thriller, directed and written by Bruce Bellocchi. If we keep aside his successful career, Tom has struggled with drug addiction and a string of legal issues. He was convicted of domestic violence charges for his relationship with Heidi Fleiss.
