Takeoff’s Suspected Murderer Lil Cam 5th, 16 Taken Into Custody In Houston

Justice may be a long road for deceased Migos rapper Takeoff, but the police have finally started to connect the dots in his murder. Lil Cam, Takeoff’s suspected murderer, has been arrested and was taken into custody by Houston police for a felony charge of unlawfully possessing a weapon during the rapper’s death. Joshua Cameron, a.k.a. Lil Cam 5th, is a 16-year-old member of Mob Ties Records.

Who Is Lil Cam 5th?

Lil Cam 5th, the suspected murderer of Migos rapper, Takeoff, was arrested and taken into custody by Houston police last week. Lil Cam, 16 whose real name is Joshua Cameron, is a member of Mob Ties Records, owned by J Prince Jr. Interestingly, “Black Twitter” has accused him of having a hand in Takeoff’s death.

Lil Cam has been in custody at the Harris Country jail since his arrest on Nov. 22. The teenager was considered to be a prime suspect after a video of him standing beside Takeoff went viral moments before he was shot. However, there was also an alleged death hoax, stating that Lil Cam was shot and killed in Houston by an unidentified man on Nov. 3. Now, the police have confirmed that Lil Camo has been in custody since last week.

What Happened To Takeoff?

Late Migos rapper Takeoff recently received a star-studded “Celebration of Life” ceremony held at the State Farm Arena, which has a capacity of over 21,000 people. Stars like Justin Bieber and Drake remembered the legacy of the multiple Grammy Award nominee.

Takeoff (28), whose real name was Kirsnick Khari Ball, was shot and killed at a bowling alley in Houston on Nov. 1. Shortly after this press release, videos of the fatal incident and its aftermath flooded social media. In one clip, Quavo and Takeoff’s uncle can be heard arguing and calling someone “disrespectful” before the shots were fired. In another video, an individual was seen carrying a gun. Takeoff was then shot in his head and torso before he died on the spot.

Police stated that they “want to find justice” and sought help from the public to help them with the investigation. Earlier this week, Chief Finner provided a vague update on the ongoing investigation, noting he felt “confident” that a suspect will be brought to justice and dispelling any notion that his department’s manhunt was running dry.

“I feel good where we’re progressing,” he said. “You remember on that day, I met with his mother. I talked with that lady personally, made a promise and there’s a lot being said. We want all investigations on murders when people are being killed to move. But the main thing is we get it right. I do not want to send family members on a rollercoaster ride, and then have to come back and say, ‘Whoa, that wasn’t the person.’ I want everyone to be patient and just understand there will be some justice here in Houston, Texas.”

Now, police have revealed that Lil Cam is being questioned in Takeoff’s murder but is being held on unrelated charges. Per reports, he was the one who was present near Takeoff during his death and had an unlawful weapon. Previously, Lil Cam was arrested on another felony charge in April but was released on bail. His latest arrest warrant reportedly violated the terms of his existing bond. Keep reading for further updates on this case.
