Officials did not explain why the singer was arrested however Cohen said that it is related to an earlier cease and desist letter. According to his lawyer, the singer was in the area along with his friends to spend some time with them and later planned to pay a visit to clear the outstanding credit card debt of five families in the area.
Police have arrested him when he was in the area as he violated a Housing Authority’s cease and desist letter. The issue between the singer and the Housing Authority is five months old when Black delivered and installed air conditioning units to a housing project in Pompano Beach.
The Pompano Beach Authority sent him the cease and desist letter in the month of Sep 2021 for delivering the air conditions and using the place for playing music loudly and shooting a music video. His lawyer responded saying the singer did not film any music video there but was playing just music that too at a reasonable volume.
His lawyer said that his client should not have been arrested as he was not served the cease and desist letter properly. The letter was sent to his record label instead of sending it to him personally.
