Pete Davidson Leaves Explicit Voicemail for PETA After Being Slammed for Buying a Dog

Pete Davidson has an explicit message for PETA! The comedian, who was called out by the animal rights organization for buying a dog from a pet store recently, left an expletive voicemail for the group, telling them to ‘suck his d**k.’

Davidson has now doubled down on his voicemail in an interview, revealing that he got the pup for his mother, whose previous pet died last year. The 29-year-old SNL star was seen filling out paperwork for a dog at a pet store in New York with his girlfriend Chase Sui Wonders earlier this month.

In the voicemail, which has now come to public light, Davidson is heard saying that he had to buy the dog, a cavapoo, as he is allergic to most breeds, and hence adoption was not a viable option. “I just want to let you know I’m severely allergic to dogs, so I have to get a specific breed,” the actor said.

“I’m only not allergic to cavapoos and those type of dogs. And my mom’s f***ing dog, who was 2 years old, died a week prior, and we’re all so sad, so I had to get a specific dog. So, why don’t you do your research before you f–king create news stories for people because you’re a boring, tired c**t. F*** you and suck my d**k,” Davidson added.

The Comedian has Defended his Expletive Voicemail

After the voicemail went viral, Davidson sat down for an interview with TMZ and further addressed the matter. “I haven’t seen my mom and sister cry like that in over 20 years. I was trying to cheer up my family. I was already upset that the store had filmed me without my permission or acknowledgment” said the Suicide Squad star.

He continued, “Then this organization (PETA) made a public example of us, making our grieving situation worse. I am upset. It was a poor choice of words. I shouldn’t have said what I said, but I am not sorry for standing up for myself and my family.”

PETA had Publically Called Out Davidson

The whole issue started when the video of Davidson and Wonders filling out paperwork at Citipups pet store surfaced online. It was later revealed that the couple had bought a 2-month-old cavapoo from the shop. PETA then lashed out at the comedian for purchasing a pet rather than going for adoption.

Daphna Nachminovitch, Senior Vice President of Cruelty Investigations at PETA stated, “It’s tragic that Pete didn’t seek out a borough-born mutt from a city animal shelter, because a scrappy New Yorker with charm, personality and unconventional handsomeness could have been his perfect match.”

“Since shelters in New York and across the country are overflowing with homeless animals, PETA urges Pete to show some big heart energy by adopting, not shopping, in the future. Our hearts go out to the Davidson family for the loss of their dog.”

“But Pete must know in his heart that there’s no excuse for buying a dog and propping up the puppy mill industry when millions of dogs await loving homes in shelters, and we hope he’ll do the right thing and adopt next time,” she further stated.
