It has been reported by the media outlet TMZ that the robbery took place on April 4, Tuesday. The cops were alerted about the incident by Michael’s neighbors in the late afternoon around 4:10 p.m.

A brief statement issued by the department on the social media platform Facebook read, “Officers are on-scene responding to a burglary in progress.” No traffic was affected at the time.

When the police authorities reached the location, they got to know that the house belonged to NBA legend Michael Jordan. At that point in time, the cops arrested an 18-year-old named Raiden K. Hagedorn who was still inside the house of the athlete.

Raiden K. Hagedorn was arrested by the cops on the scene and later on, he was booked at the Highland Park Police Department before being charged with three counts: two counts of criminal damage to property and one count of criminal trespass to an occupied residence.

The media outlet Daily Herald reported that Hagedorn has since been released on a recognizance bond. For the next hearing, he is set to appear in court on April 20, 2023.

More details about the whole incident

According to the Illinois-based newspaper, a second individual who was a minor was also taken into custody. Highland Park Police Deputy Chief William Bonaguidi has not answered any questions about the alleged suspect as he’s a juvenile.

Sara Avalos, a communications specialist with the Lake County state’s attorney’s office has stated that the police authorities don’t suspect that Raiden wanted to take something from Jordan’s house.

In the year 2012, Michael put the house for sale for a record-setting $29 million. The massive house consists of a total of nine bedrooms, 19 bathrooms, and an indoor basketball court. It also has a guest house, a 500-bottle wine cellar, and a custom wood-trimmed cigar parlor.

The mansion was built in the year 1995. Michael and his wife Juanita Jordan raised their three children in the house while they were married. At the end of the day, Jordan couldn’t find a buyer for the house. The following year, the house was not purchased at an auction for the reserve price of $13 million.

During an interview with the Sun-Times, realtor Katherine Chez Malkin of Baird & Warner had nothing but good things to say about the house. She said, “It’s such a beautiful house. Every weekend people from all over the world came to see Michael’s house.”

A neighbor chimed in, “And everyone who came got out and took pictures in front of the gate.” We must say, the Illinois House of the NBA star is beautiful. Stay tuned with us for the latest updates from the world of showbiz.
