As per a report by Manila Bulletin, a baby girl who was born in Tondo, Manila is now considered the “symbolic 8th billionth baby” from the Philippines. The baby girl has been named Vinice Mabansag.

It has been reported by the media outlet, that the baby girl Vinice was delivered by normal delivery. Vinice was born at Dr. Jose Fabella Memorial Hospital in Manila on early Tuesday. Dr. Romeo Bituin, the chief medical professional staff of the hospital went on to say that the baby girl Vinice was delivered at 1:29 am.

For those of you who are unaware, let us share with you, Manila Bulletin is the Philippines’ largest English language broadsheet newspaper by circulation. The newspaper was founded in the year 1900. It is the second largest newspaper published in the Philippines and the second oldest English newspaper in the Far East.

When was the 7 billionth person born?

According to a report by BBC, the 7 billionth person was born in the year 2011. At that time, also a baby girl became the 7 billionth person in the world. The name of the girl is Sadia Sultana Oishee.

At this moment, Sadia is 11 years old. Currently, she lives with her family outside Dhaka in Bangladesh. She is also considered her family’s ‘lucky charm.’ She is the youngest of all siblings. She has 2 elder sisters.

Oishee came into the world one minute past midnight via a C-section delivery. Back in the day, she was declared the seven billionth person born. Soon after her birth, Sadia was surrounded by local officials as well as TV crews. Since Sadia’s birth, more than 17 million people have been added to the population of Bangladesh.

Sadia wants to be a doctor in the future. In an interview, her father said, “We are not that well-off and Covid has made things harder. But I’ll do everything to make her dream come true.”

On the other hand, when we talk about the 6 billionth person born, it is none other than,  Adnan Mevic of Bosnia. He was born two minutes after midnight on October 12, 1999. At the moment, he resides with his mom Fatima, outside Sarajevo.

Adnan’s mom Fatima recalled the day her son was born and said, “I realised something was unusual because doctors and nurses were gathering around but I couldn’t tell what was happening.” She stated then UN Secretary General Kofi Annan was there to christen him the world’s six-billionth baby. She further added, “I was so tired, I don’t know how I felt.”
