Kodak Black Arrested with Over 30 Oxycodone Pills and $50,000

In a long list of legal issues, Kodak Black, who is also known as Bill Kahan Blanco and J-Black, was arrested Friday (July 15) after the American rapper was allegedly found in possession of dozens of oxycodone pills during a Florida traffic stop. Read on to learn more about the charges.

Possibly Charged With Trafficking…

Kodak Black is entangled in another legal trouble after he was arrested on Friday (July 15) as he was loafing around Ft. Lauderdale in a Dodge Durango. The police officials stated that they smelled marijuana and that’s what led to the search of his vehicle.

The Pompano Beach native was arrested after police officials found 31 Oxycodone pills and $74,960 in cash. The authorities revealed that his tags and license were also expired. As a consequence, Kodak Black was hauled off to Broward County Jail. Fox reporter Andy Slater tweeted late Friday night that Kodak was being charged with trafficking. He wrote:

“Kodak Black was arrested on Friday in South Florida. Cops pulled over the rapper and during a search found 30+ Oxycodone pills and over $50,000 in cash, multiple sources tell me. Kodak Black is being charged with trafficking, multiple sources tell me.”

A Series Of Legal Issues…

Kodak Black, who was born Dieusin Octave and later changed to Bill Kahan Kapri, has faced legal issues since middle school when he faced an auto theft charge. Since then he’s had many run-ins with law authorities and has been in and out of jail in connection with various felonies.

In 2019, Kodak was arrested for weapons possession and sentenced to four years in prison. However, he served about half the term after former President Donald Trump commuted his sentence. As Shepardson tweeted at the time:

“Trump pardoned rappers Lil Wayne and Kodak Black who were prosecuted on federal weapons offenses, as well as former Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick, who was serving a 28-year prison term on corruption charges.”

The “Project Baby” rapper also faced sexual assault charges in 2016 when a victim reported an incident to her school nurse stating that she had attended a Feb. 2016 performance by Kodak Black at “Treasure City” in Florence, after which she accompanied him to his hotel room.

The victim revealed that Kodal tore off her clothes, bit her repeatedly and raped her as she screamed for help. Kodak Black was released from custody in South Carolina in December 2016 after posting a $100,000 bond but returned to court in 2017.

In September 2016, Kodak Black pleaded no contest to two misdemeanour drug charges and was sentenced to four months in jail. He was credited for time spent in custody awaiting trial and was required to serve 120 days. His driving license was also suspended.

In October 2015, Kodak was arrested in Pompano Beach and charged with battery, false imprisonment of a child, robbery and possession of cannabis. In 2016, Black was arrested in Hallandale Beach, Florida and “charged with possession of a weapon by a convicted felon, possession of marijuana, and fleeing from officers”.

In the following month, he was again arrested in Broward County, Florida and charged with armed robbery and false imprisonment. He was detained in custody. Now, Kodak Black supposedly faces charges of trafficking. It’s high time that the legal authorities take strict action against this criminal.
