Jana Kramer is going to be a mother again! The singer is expecting her third child, her first with fiancé Allan Russell. The 39-year-old made the announcement on Instagram on Thursday, June 8th.
The exciting news comes just a few days after Kramer announced her engagement with Russel. The couple had been dating for six months before taking their relationship to the next level. Kramer was previously married to Mike Caussin, who she divorced in 2021.
Jana Kramer Expecting First Baby with Fiancé Allan Russell
The country singer took to Instagram to share a series of photos showing a positive pregnancy test and flaunting her baby bump and wrote, “We’ve been keeping another secret from you guys (I promise this is the last Announcement…at least for a little while 🤣) but I’m pregnant!!!! Beyond blessed and grateful for this baby to be a part of our story.”
Kramer is already mother to 7-year-old daughter Jolie and 4-year-old son Jace with her ex-husband Caussin. Russel, 42, also has a 16-year-old son from a previous relationship. She now says that she was surprised to get pregnant at this point in her life.
Speaking about her pregnancy with People Magazine, the Whine Down podcast host said, “I didn’t think it would ever happen again if I’m being honest. I’ve been through a lot, so this has just been a really beautiful thing. I’m letting it all sink in. It’s everything I’ve wanted and more. Allan was so sweet,” she added.
The Singer Revealed Suffering Miscarriages in the Past
Kramer says that she wanted to have a baby with Russell, but was skeptical since she suffered multiple miscarriages in the past. “I’ve had miscarriages, so I didn’t even know if it was possible. I’m like, yes, it’d be beautiful for us to create something because I love this man. It would be the silver lining with everything that happened.”
“But I’d always get kind of down about it because I didn’t know if I was capable of carrying a pregnancy again. I was like, well, I’m going to be 40 in December, so I was like, we have one month to try. Literally one month,” added the Dance in the Rain singer.
It was in March when she found out she was expecting. “I had this metallic taste in my mouth. That’s what I felt with both my other kids’ [pregnancies]. So I went to the store and got my Clearblue test. It said pregnant, and we just started crying,” revealed Kramer.
Kramer and Russell Announced Engagement Last Month
On May 25th, the couple announced their engagement on Instagram. “A forever with you just feels right and has done since the day I met you @kramergirl I’m proud to call you my fiancé and cherish every minute we spend together ❤️ I love you my little warrior xxx,” Russell wrote at the time.
Talking about how the footballer proposed to her, Kramer said, “It was a really beautiful night sitting on the front porch steps and looking out at the view. It felt very sentimental.” The singer previously had a six-year-long troubled marriage with Caussin.
