According to the reports of the Coimisiún Le Rincí Gaelacha, the text messages that show some of the most prestigious instructors trying to rig the contests have been given to Irish dancing’s top governing body.
As of now, the details about who rigged the events and how have been kept under wraps by the Irish dancing’s top governing body. The media outlet has reported that in one case a dance teacher and a competition judge seem to be exchanging sexual favors to get higher scores in the kitty.

The CLRG has announced that it has appointed a former Irish Court of Appeal judge to oversee the investigation of the alleged cheating scandal that has shocked the world of Irish dancing.
The CLRG issued a statement that read, “The process will no doubt be difficult and arduous, but this grossly unethical behavior must be eliminated from our competitions, dance schools, and governing organizations.”
They further added, “An Coimisiún regards such breaches to be Gross Misconduct. Any registered member found to be engaged in such practices will be subject to due and full process under our published Disciplinary Procedures.”
As per the CLRG, the investigator will have “to oversee and supervise the immediate investigation into these matters. They will have full and open access to the resources and records of CLRG.”

It has been stated that one of the teachers who is involved in the cheating scandal has a history of interfering with scores at contests. The text messages that show the conversation of teachers trying to fix the competitions were handed over to the Irish dancing’s top governing body in July.
