Caterina Scorsone has nothing but gratitude in her heart even after losing everything in a house fire! The Grey’s Anatomy star spilled the beans on the horrifying house fire incident on the social media platform Instagram.

Caterina Scorsone shares details about the devastating incident on Instagram
On Monday, the Private Practice star took to her Instagram page to reveal the details of the house fire incident which happened a couple of months ago. Fortunately, she and her three daughters Lucky, 3, Eliza, 10, and Paloma “Pippa” Michaela, 6, escaped the house before it burned down.
Caterina said, “While getting my kids ready for bed and finishing bath time, smoke began to seep up through the grout around the tub. When I looked down the hallway, a river of thick black smoke had already formed and was filling the house.”
The Hollywood actress went on to say, “I had about two minutes to get my three kids out of the house, and we escaped with less than shoes on our feet. But we got out. And for that, I am eternally grateful.”
Caterina continued, “This is not a post about a fire. This is a post about community. This is a love letter to the incredible people that showed up and the incredible ways that they did.”
The Alice star thanked the brave firefighters, the investigators, and her neighbors for helping her out during this tough time. She also went on thank her team and the cast and crew of Grey’s Anatomy.
Caterina Scorsone lost her 4 pets in the house fire
Caterina shared that all of her 4 pets didn’t make it out alive. She posted a series of pictures of her beloved pets on Instagram. She said, “Heartbreakingly, we lost all four of our pets. We are still sitting with that loss, but we are lucky we got to love them at all.”
Despite the tragic experience, Scorsone who is best known for playing the role of Dr. Amelia Shepherd in the hit ABC series Grey Anatomy’s talked about the lessons that she learned from this incident.
The mom of three added, “What we learned is that the only thing that matters are the people (and beings) that you love. The only thing that matters is community. We would not be here without it, and we are so grateful.”
The Station 19 actress concluded the post by writing, “Here are some photos to honor the space we once called home, to say goodbye to the animals that loved us so well, and to celebrate that we have the only thing we ever really needed: each other. -Love, Caterina.”
