Recently, Gabby Petito’s parents dropped an alarming picture of her. Her family claims that the photo was clicked by her phone a couple of minutes before she and her boyfriend Brian encountered MPD officers on the road after a call from a concerned citizen.
The photo showed Gabby with a bruised eye and red marks on her face. It has been reported by the media outlet, that a few marks on her face didn’t seem visible in body cam footage taken during the actual traffic stop.
For those of you who are unaware, let us share with you that while having a conversation with Gabby, the police authorities, did point out something on her face and the cops even asked her whether she had been hit. Along with this, the cop also pointed out towards what he thought must have been a shoulder injury.
The Petito family has stated that a timestamp from Gabby’s picture shows it was captured at 4:37 p.m. on August 12. Moab PD’s body cam footage started rolling shortly after at around 4:53 p.m.
Gabby’s parents have claimed that this shows that their daughter was obviously injured at the hands of Brian. In addition to this, they also feel that law enforcement had a duty to step in and protect her. The media outlet TMZ reported that at that time, the cops made the decision to not arrest anyone and the Petitos think that it was something that warrants at least $50 million in damages.
Soon after, Gabby’s boyfriend Brian Laundrie admitted that he killed his girlfriend in a notebook found after he took his own life. Their disappearance led to a nationwide search as well as a subsequent investigation. This matter garnered the attention of the people for months.
