Congratulations are in order for Erin Andrews as the sports commentator has become a mother. The 45-year-old has welcomed her first baby, a son, with her husband Jarret Stoll via surrogate. The couple’s reps have confirmed the news.
Andrews got married to former professional ice hockey player Stoll, 41, in 2016. In the last few years, she has had a long journey with IVF techniques and opened up about her struggles to have a baby on several occasions.

As per reports, the baby was born a couple of weeks. Andrews earlier had her baby shower at Harriet’s in West Hollywood, California in June. A source close to the new parents has revealed the name of the newborn as Mack.
Andrews got into a relationship with Stoll in 2012. The couple dated for four years before getting engaged in 2016 during a trip to Disneyland. The two got married six months later in June 2017 in Montana and recently celebrated their seventh wedding anniversary.
“We went there for Christmas to see the Christmas decorations, and we had a lovely dinner there, and he did it right there at dinner at Disneyland. I was bawling like a child,” Andrews revealed about the proposal at the time.
Andrews had a Nine-Year-Long Journey with IVF
The birth of the baby is even more special for Andrews as the sportscaster had been going through IVF for almost a decade. Opening up about her fertility journey, she said in 2021, “You could go through this whole experience and get absolutely nothing out of it, that’s the crazy part. It’s a ton of money, it’s a ton of time, it’s a ton of mental and physical anguish.”
“And more times than not, they’re unsuccessful. I think that’s why a lot of people choose to be quiet about it. You never know who else is going through this; it could be another coworker or the person making your coffee every day. There are more people than you think,” the Fox presenter added.
She further revealed that it was her seventh time going through the process and stated, “Now that it’s my seventh time, something just hit me. Why am I keeping this such a secret when this is just a part of our lives? Instead of feeling ashamed, we need to give ourselves more love. There are so many of us going through this though, and it’s just not talked about.”
The Sportscaster Froze Her Embryos in 2016
In 2016, Andrews decided to freeze her embryos with Stoll. The same year, she was diagnosed with cervical cancer and had to undergo surgery. “I’m not young, we don’t know when we’re gonna have a baby, we don’t know if this is going to come back,” she said talking about her health at the time.
“One thing I love my future husband for is that our oncologist said the smart thing to do would be to have some insurance waiting—so we have frozen embryos because we’ve taken the steps. If we need ’em, we need ’em; and if we don’t, we don’t. We just wanna be smart,” Andrews said further.
Congratulations to Erin Andrews and Jarret Stoll! Stay tuned for more news and updates.
