Gary’s son, Justin Wright, announced the news of his unfortunate demise. His famous father passed away at his house in Palos Verdes Estates, California. Justin mentioned that his dad died peacefully.
As per a report by TMZ, the Really Wanna Know You crooner was diagnosed with Parkinson’s nearly 5 or 6 years ago. Along with this, he was also battling Lewy Body dementia.
It has been reported by the media outlet that over the past year, Wright’s Parkinson’s progressed rapidly. His son has stated that eventually, he lost the ability to speak and move around.
Over the last couple of days, nurses who were taking care of Gary at his home told his loved ones that he was entering the final chapter of his life. He was surrounded by his family and friends at the time of his death.

According to Mayo Clinic, Lewy Body dementia is the second most common form of dementia after Alzheimer’s. This particular disease is caused by the abnormal deposit of protein in the brain.

Gary Wright was an American singer who was born on April 26, 1943, in Cresskill, New Jersey, U.S. Back in the day, he made his acting debut at the young age of seven. Soon after, he appeared in a few television and radio commercials.
When we talk about Wright’s educational qualifications, he went to Tenafly High School located in Tenafly, New Jersey. At first, he thought that music was not a stable career option. Then, he attended the College of William & Mary in Virginia and New York University before attending Downstate Medical College for a year.
