Legendary actor Dilip Kumar who has been suffering from age-related health issues for a while leaves for heavenly abode today i.e., on Wednesday, July 7.
The 98-year old actor passed away at 7-30 am today. His funeral will happen at Juhu Qabrastan at 5 pm, today in Mumbai. Dilip Kumar’s body has been moved from the hospital to his Bandra residence in Mumbai.

More popular as the tragedy king of Bollywood, Dilip Kumar was admitted to Hinduja hospital a number of times in the last month following complaints about difficulty in breathing. The family however felt that his health was improving.

Veteran actor Saira Banu, wife of late actor Dilip Kumar also tweeted on the actor’s Twitter handle about his health on Monday. She said that Dilip Kumar’s health is doing better and also urged his fans to pray for his recovery. Here is what she said, “We are grateful for God’s infinite mercy on Dilip Sahib that his health is improving. We are still in hospital and request your prayers and duas so that Insha’Allah he is healthy and discharged soon. Saira Banu Khan.”

Earlier, the Mughal-e-Azam actor was admitted to the same hospital on June 6 following complaints of breathlessness. The actor then got diagnosed with bilateral Pleural effusion which is also known as ‘water on the lungs’ i.e., a situation where excess fluid builds up between the layers of the pleura outside the lungs. However, Mr. Kumar went through a pleural aspiration procedure then and got it done successfully.
Late actor Dilip Kumar has touched the hearts of the audiences with his amazing performances. His acting which spans over a period of five decades involves mega-hits like Devdas, Mughal-e-Azam, Ram Aur Shyam, Ganga Jamuna, Kohinoor among others.
