The R&B singer Jewell Caples died at 53. As per the reports of Vibe, the news of her death was confirmed by Reggie Wright Jr., the former head of security for the label on Friday. As of now, the cause of her death is not known.

Jewell’s death news came nearly 2 months after she revealed her health struggles on the social media platform Instagram. “Attention All Non Believers I was Hospitalized on March 2,2022 Released on a March 5,2022 went home,8lbs of fluid on my heart, lungs, and legs! Went back to hospital March 16th until Today March 21,2022. I Almost Died!”, she captioned the post.

Caples further added, “Was supposed to be Airlifted to another facility. GOD reverse my symptoms extended me some GRACE! And gave me more time with my Family and Friends! Thank you JESUS for saving my life again! 👏🏽 👏🏽 👏🏽 👏🏽 👏🏽 👏🏽 👏🏽 GOD IS REAL!”

Jewell worked with many artists from the music industry

The American singer was born on June 12, 1968 in Chicago, Illinois, United States. She was signed to Death Row Records from 1992 to 1996. She performed on multi-platinum R&B/Hip-Hop albums.

Throughout her musical career, Jewell collaborated with several artists including Snoop Dogg, 2Pac and Dr. Dre. She also co-wrote and self-published her memoir titled My Blood My Sweat My Tears in the year 2011.
