Comedian Gabriel Iglesias’ Private Jet Skids off the Runway in North Carolina

American comedian Gabriel Iglesias recently revealed that his private jet had an emergency landing in North Carolina. According to a report by TMZ, the jet slid off the runway and it went somewhat around 100 yards into a grass field.

It has been reported by the media outlet that Gabriel well known by the fans as ‘Fluffy’ was on his way to North Carolina for a show at Harrah’s Cherokee Event Center. Read on to gather more information about the entire matter.

On Friday, Gabriel Iglesias disclosed that his private jet ran off a runway in a small town in western North Carolina. In a statement issued, the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office stated that fortunately, no one was injured when the airplane stopped for an “undetermined reason” and slid about 600 feet off the end of the runway in Andrews, North Carolina.

The cops further mentioned that the incident that took place at Western Carolina Regional Airport on June 30 was reported to emergency responders around 1 p.m. ET Friday. They said that the area had “heavy rain” that morning.

Gabriel spilled the beans on the whole incident on the social media platform Twitter. He tweeted, “Emergency landing!!! Our private jet skid off the runway and wound up in a field in Andrew’s, N. Carolina.”

Fluffy went on to say, “Everyone is ok but shaken up. Happy to be alive. I love u all.” As per his official website, the comedian was all set to perform at Harrah’s Cherokee Hotel & Casino Resort on Friday night.

Gabriel Jesus Iglesias is a standup comedian and actor by profession who was born on July 15, 1976, in San Diego, California, to Esther P. Mendez and Jesús Iglesias. His mom Esther brought him up as a single mother.

Fluffy is of Mexican heritage. Back in the day, he was raised in Riverside, Corona,  Santa Ana, Baldwin Park, and Compton before he and his mom settled down in Long Beach, where he spent most of his teen years.

Later on, Gabriel began working for a cell phone company, and in the year 1997, he stepped into the world of comedy. When he started pursuing a career in comedy, he ended up being evicted from his house and losing his car.

During his comedy shows, Iglesias often makes references such as “Oh, I’m not fat, I’m fluffy.” He further explains that there are five levels of fatness, “Big”, “Healthy”, “Husky”, “Fluffy”, and “DAMN!!!” In 2009, he added another level known as “Oh hell, no.”

In 2000, he appeared in the sixth season of the Nickelodeon sketch comedy series All That. After a couple of years, he took part in the reality TV series Last Comic Standing. Last year, he became the first comedian to sell out Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles.
