Hip Hop legend Bruno Falcon has passed away at the age of 58. The actor reportedly died at his home in Long Beach. There has been no official confirmation about the cause of death yet.

The demise of Buron ‘Pop and taco’ Falcon, the name by which he was popularly known, is a huge loss to the hip hop industry. Read on to know the full details of the story.

Bruno’s Sister Confirms His Demise

Bruno’s sister Diana Wolgamott has confirmed his passing away. Talking to TMZ, she said that the choreographer died on Saturday at his Long Beach home. She believed that he might have died a natural death by a heart attack. As per her, an autopsy would not be conducted.

Famous rapper and Falcon’s former co-star Ice-t also confirmed the news with a tweet and said he was too young to pass away. He tweeted, “Yep, just got a text. He was too young. Smh.”

Falcon’s longtime friend Popin Pete also shared the news with his fans. He shared a video on his Instagram handle, in which he can be seen hugging the late dancer. He captioned the post, “Rest my brother Taco, glad we had this moment last year after not seeing each other in 15 years.”

“Rest in peace my brother Popin n Taco, you will be missed..can’t believe this.” he captioned another post, a photo of him with his late friend.

Some other hip-hop stars paid their condolences in the comment section, including Beat Junkies, B-Boy Crazy Legs, D-Styles, DJ Rhettmatic, Omarion, and Sheila E.

Falcon’s Notable Works

Falcon was one of the biggest names in the hip-hop industry of his time. Some popular names also worked under Falcon’s choreography including Michael Jackson, Chaka Khan and Lionel Richie.

Falcon was born in Los Angeles, California on 10th June 1964. He was keen on dancing ever since childhood. He became famous as a hip-hop dancer in the 80s due to his unique popping, locking and breaking skills.

The dancer got his big break with the film Breakin, one of the first films to be made on hip hop culture. In the film, he essayed the role of Electro Rock 1, one of the two leads of the film. The other lead was played by Ice-T.

After Breakin, he went on to do a number of films including Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey, Thumbelina and Michael Jackson’s Moonwalker

Bruno Falcon was famously known as Michael Jackson’s choreographer. The two shared a close bond and danced together sometimes, and even appeared together in some music videos.

He is best remembered for doing the iconic lean dance sequence in MJ’s Smooth Criminal. Bruno accompanied Michael on HIStory World Tour in the 1990s and served as a choreographer. He even taught MJ a few steps of locking and popping that the latter often performed during his performances.

Some other members of the Jackson family have also danced under Bruno. These include La Toya and Janet Jackson.
