Anna Shay who starred in Netflix’s popular reality show Bling Empire has left for the heavenly abode. She passed away at the age of 62. Her family confirmed the sad news via a statement.

What was the cause behind the death of Anna Shay?
The reality TV star Anna Shay is no longer with us. She recently died after suffering a stroke. At the time of her passing, she was 62 years old. Her family announced the unfortunate news of her demise through a statement.
In a statement issued, Anna’s family said, “It saddens our hearts to announce that Anna Shay, a loving mother, grandmother, charismatic star, and our brightest ray of sunshine, has passed away at the early age of 62 from a stroke.”
They went on to say, “Anna taught us many life lessons on how not to take life too seriously and to enjoy the finer things. Her impact on our lives will be forever missed but never forgotten.” Anna is survived by her son Kenny Kemp.
Who was Anna Shay?
Anna Shay was born and brought up in Japan. Her father Edward Shay was an American businessman who was the founder of global defense contractor Pacific Architects and Engineers. On the other hand, very little is known about her mom Ai Oizumi Shay who was half-Japanese and half-Russian. She passed away in 2015.
Post her dad’s demise in 1995, Shay’s brother Allen became the CEO of Pacific Architects. In the year 2006, she and her brother sold the company to Lockheed Martin, an aerospace corporation.
In 2021, Anna shot to fame after appearing in Netflix’s show Bling Empire. The cast members of the show include Kane Lim, Gabriel, Christine Chiu, Kim Lee, and Jaime Xie amongst many other socialites.
Tributes pour in for Anna Shay
The sudden demise of Anna Shay came as a big shock for all of her fans as well as friends. Many of them used various social media platforms to send their sincere condolences.
Anna’s Bling Empire co-star Kevin Kreider paid a heartfelt tribute to her on the social media platform Instagram. He wrote, “You never know when your last goodbye will be. So unexpected and wished when I saw you last for lunch I would have taken a moment to smell the roses and had one last adventure with you.”
Shay’s co-star Kim Lee told Variety, “This is such a huge shock. I have so much love for Anna. I know that we had issues on the show but in real life, I had such a great connection with her outside of the show.”
She further added, “We saw eye to eye, and she gave me so many words of wisdom I will never forget. There’s no one like Anna Shay; she’s an incredible and unique person who was beloved by so many people. My thoughts are with her family at this difficult time.”
