BLACKPINK star Lisa‘s fans will be worried a little to know that their favorite K-pop rapper has tested positive for Covid-19. Yes, you read it right!
The news has been revealed by her agency YG Entertainment on Wednesday, November 24 via a statement. According to the agency’s statement, the three other members of the popular K-pop group namely Jisoo, Jennie, and Rose, were awaiting their test results.
However, as per the latest update from YG Entertainment, Jennie, Rose, and Jisoo have tested negative for Covid-19.

The statement given out on Wednesday read, “This is YG Entertainment. BLACKPINK’s Lisa was diagnosed with COVID-19 this afternoon (November 24). The other three BLACKPINK members have not been classified as close contacts yet, but they immediately received PCR tests after hearing of Lisa’s positive COVID-19 results, and they are currently awaiting their results.”
The statement further read, “We first shared this information quickly and accurately with representatives and staff, and we took strong pre-emptive measures even beyond the guidelines of health authorities.
We will continue to not hold back on providing full support with the health of our artists and related staff members as the top priority. If there are any changes in the future, we will once again notify you quickly.”
Ever since the news about Lisa testing Covid-19 positive broke, her friends and fans have been flooding her Instagram account with ‘Get Well Soon’ messages.

According to a statement given by YG Entertainment on Thursday, November 25, Lisa is “in very good health with no suspected symptoms”.
The statement also added, “Blackpink members Jisoo, Rose, and Jennie’s Covid-19 Real Time RT-PCR test results came back as negative.”
Well, earlier this month the Thai singer Lisa has achieved a milestone by becoming the new K-pop female solo artist as she made it to the US Billboard’s main singles chart, Hot 100. Thanks to the sidetrack Money from her solo album LALISA.
Billboard released the chart on November 9 and according to that, the track took the 93rd spot on the Hot 100.
Moreover, the 24-year old BLACKPINK singer becomes the first K-pop female solo artist who made it to the Billboard Hot 100 for two weeks consecutively.
LALISA which was out on September 10 occupied the 84th spot on the Billboard Hot 100 in the very first week of its release.
Not just that, the single album ‘Lalisa’ took the top spot on the iTunes Top Song Chart in 72 countries as well as the Global YouTube Song Top 100 chart for 2 weeks consecutively.
