Billie Eilish’s childhood home in Los Angeles was burglarized on Thursday evening. A man was arrested for breaking into the property, which belongs to the pop star’s parents. It is not yet clear whether anything was stolen from the place before the suspect was held.
Eilish and her brother, Finneas O’Connell, grew up in the home in question. The 21 year old earlier had to hire security at the property when her address got leaked online in 2019. Read on to know more about the burglary.
Man Arrested for Breaking into Billie Eilish’s Family Home
The incident took place on January 5 when the Los Angeles Police Department responded to a call about a man trying to break into a home in Highland Park around 9:15 p.m. The suspect, dressed in black clothing, was allegedly trying to hop over the property fence. The police then reached the two-bedroom house and took the burglar into custody.
Footage of the incident has now surfaced online, which shows a man being handcuffed and restrained by the officers. No injuries have been reported, and it is yet to be revealed if something was robbed from the home. The LAPD robbery detectives are now investigating the case.

The burglary left the neighbors concerned. An eyewitness, Jaslyn Portillo, shared the account of what transpired and said, “Well, my aunt actually came running to me telling me that Billie Eilish’s house was getting burglarized and we quickly ran over here because we live down the street so we’re pretty worried about what was happening.”
Billie Eilish and Finneas O’Connell Grew Up in the LA Home
The home is in the name of Eilish and O’Connell’s parents, Maggie Baird and Patrick O’Connell. Finneas O’Connell, who is also a singer and record producer, previously revealed in an interview that their parents used to sleep on a futon in their living room so that he and his sister could have their own bedrooms.
Eilish had also earlier said that she still lives with her parents, despite having earned a huge wealth. The house is said to be worth $800,000. It is the same home where the siblings recorded much of Eilish’s debut album, When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? The album, released in 2019, reached number 1 on the Billboard 200 chart and also ended up winning three Grammy Awards.
Eilish Hired a Security Guard for her Home in 2019
In 2019, Eilish’s address was leaked online, after which numerous fans started to show up outside her home. The singer then revealed that she had to hire a security guard to sleep in the living room of the house.
“It was really traumatizing. I completely don’t feel safe in my house anymore, which sucks. I love my house. I’ve loved attention my whole life, but I don’t think anyone knows what fame actually is. Because if I did want to be famous, it wasn’t this kind,” the everything i wanted singer had said in an interview.
