How Did Ashley Tropez Die?
Ashley Tropez, best known for her teenage role in the A&E show “Beyond Scared Straight” was discovered dead in her home in Victorville, California at the age of 24. The San Bernardino Sheriff’s Department released a press statement narrating that the Victorville Police Department has responded to a “report of a dead body inside a home on Aug. 26”.
The body was later identified as Ashley Tropez, 24. The Department further stated in the report that upon the arrival of the deputies, Ashely’s body was found with several “traumatic injuries”. Soon after this, an investigation began. The cause of her death is not yet clear, but it appears that she was murdered.
However, as a development, a California-based woman, named Alexis Call, who is also 24 years old, has been arrested as a suspect and is now in custody. The authorities believe that Tropez and Alexis knew each other well and the report suggests that the two “may have been squatting at the residence.”
Alexis Call is presently charged with murder and is presently being held at the High Desert Detention Center. Her untimely death has come as a real shock to her family, friends and fans, who are devastated by her loss.

Ashley Tropez, 24, who was known for “Beyond Scared Straight”, was much of a private person. Unlike other teen stars, she did not document her life on social media or post regular updates for her fan. However, several reports suggest that she did suffer from “drug abuse”.
Ashley revealed that she was just 17 during her time on “Beyond Scared Straight”. She revealed in an interview that the show intended to show the conditions of youngsters who may end up in prison for wrong decisions, discussing the realities of “being behind bars” to stop them from committing crimes.
After a year of being on the show, Ashely Tropez stated that she actually became a part of the show for her own struggles, i.e. fighting, getting in trouble and selling weed. She said: “I’m still the same person. I just be everywhere, from friends to family’s houses. Just chilling.”
If you haven’t seen “Beyond Scared Straight”, the show showcases teenagers who are addicted to bad behaviour and are associated with crimes like “drugs, promiscuity, gang affiliation, theft, violence and arson.” In the show, these teens are forced to spend a whole day in jail interacting with other convicts who provide a first-hand experience of what life is like behind bars, to save them from a life of destruction.
“Beyond Scared Straight” was discontinued in the year 2015 after having many successful seasons since its premiere in 2009. The show profiled around “331 teens in crime prevention programs in 29 prisons and jails across the country”.
Alexis Call, who has been arrested for Ashley’s murder, is presently ineligible for bail and was scheduled to appear in court on August 29 and August 30. She also faces another charge related to a stolen vehicle. As for Ashley’s death, our heart goes out to her family.
