Obamas’ chef, Tafari Campbell has left for the heavenly abode. He recently died in a paddleboarding accident. According to a report by BBC News, he went missing in the waters of Edgartown Great Pond on Martha’s Vineyard on Sunday.
As per a police report, the cops started searching for Campbell on Sunday night and they found his dead body on Monday “approximately 100 feet (30 meters) from shore at a depth of about eight feet”.
Right now, the Massachusetts State Police Detective Unit is investigating his death. The media outlet CBS News reported that it may have been an accident. At the time of the accident, Barack Obama and former first lady Michelle Obama were not present at the house.
Campbell was hired when the Obamas left to join the household staff. He worked in the White House for a total of 8 years during the presidency of Obama in Washington. During his time at the White House, he created some famous presidential recipes.

The Obamas went on to say, “That’s why, when we were getting ready to leave the White House, we asked Tafari to stay with us, and he generously agreed. He’s been part of our lives ever since, and our hearts are broken that he’s gone.”
In a statement, the former US president and his wife Michelle Obama mentioned, “He’s been part of our lives ever since, and our hearts are broken that he’s gone. Today we join everyone who knew and loved Tafari – especially his wife Sherise and their twin boys, Xavier and Savin – in grieving the loss of a truly wonderful man.”
