In a shocking turn of events, singer Ava Max was slapped onstage during her concert in Los Angeles on Tuesday. A man from the audience went up to the stage and hit the pop star in the face, before being dragged away by security.
A video of the incident is now going viral on social media. Meanwhile, Max also shared the ordeal with a post on Twitter. The incident has sparked concerns about the safety of the performers as less than two days ago, singer Bebe Rexha was attacked with a cell phone during her concert in NYC.
Ava Max Slapped Onstage During Los Angeles Concert
The incident took place toward the end of the concert on June 20th when Max was about to finish her last song. A clip from the concert shows a man slapping the Ghost singer on the face as she recoils and holds her eye. The assailant was then immediately taken away by the security guards.
Max, however, decided to continue with the concert and even greeted her fans after the performance. Later, she opened up about the event on Twitter and revealed that she suffered a scratch inside her eye.

“He slapped me so hard that he scratched the inside of my eye. He’s never coming to a show again. thank you to the fans for being spectacular tonight in LA though!!” the 29-year-old songwriter wrote.
Eye Witnesses Share Details of the Incident
A couple of concert-goers have shared the details of what exactly transpired on the stage. Joel Rangel, who went to attend the show from Arizona, revealed, “She was ending the show with her song The Motto and a fan just ran and jumped on the left side of the stage.”

“As he jumped on stage some of the lights fell to the floor and he was running for Ava with his arms wide open like he was going to hug her. But the security ran and grabbed him and as they did, she just happened to turn and his arm was out and hit her in the face.” Joel also revealed that the meet-and-greet was almost canceled, but Max decided to go ahead with it.
“She had to wear sunglasses and she was disoriented and dazed so it was sad having to talk to her like that.” he added. Another audience member, Cory Larrabee, explained, “The security guard tackled him and literally THREW him down the stairs. Wild!!! It happened so fast.”
Bebe Rexha was Struck with a Cell Phone on Sunday
The news of Max being slapped comes at a time when a man has been charged with assaulting singer Bebe Rexha by throwing a cell phone at her. On Sunday night, when the pop star was performing at Pier 17 in New York, she was struck in the head by a phone thrown by someone from the audience.
Rexha collapsed on stage and had to be rushed to the hospital, where she received stitches on her face. The assailant was later identified as 27-year-old Nicolas Malvagna, who attacked the singer intentionally. He was charged with third-degree assault and aggravated harassment.
