Angry Fans Thrash Venue After Kid Rock’s Concert Got Canceled Due to Bad Weather

Fans went berserk after Kid Rock’s concert in North Dakota was canceled on Friday night. The angry audience started thrashing the venue after the announcement of the show’s cancellation was made.

The concert had been called off due to bad weather. Kid Rock was supposed to open start his performance around 9:30 pm at the North Dakota State Fair in Minot, which did not happen after a storm was reported in the outskirts of the town. Kid Rock Issues Statement

The concert opened with the band Night Ranger playing an extended set. However, soon a tornado warning was issued across some northern counties of the state. There were also reports of damage in the northern part of Minot around the time of the planned concert.

Looking at the weather conditions, the organizers decided to cancel the show around 10:30 pm. Ward County Sheriff, Bob Roed, went on to the stage and announced to the crowd of 18,000, fans who had been waiting for Kid Rock’s performance, that the show would not go on.

The North Dakota State Fair released a statement to confirm that the fans will get a refund. The statement read, “Due to the safety concerns of the high winds, lightning, and severe weather in the area, the Kid Rock concert had to be cancelled. The North Dakota State Fair will be issuing refunds to all ticket purchasers.”

Following the event, Kid Rock also expressed his disappointment on Twitter. He wrote, “SO PISSED OFF we could not play for a sold out crowd tonight in Minot, ND (because of high winds) – I know it sucks but none of us can control mother nature. Please be safe leaving and take care of each other.”

Angry Crowd Thrashed the Venue

After the show was stopped, fans were pissed as they had been waiting for several hours for Kid Rock to take the stage. By the time it was 11 pm, a lot of people in the crowd were drunk. They were annoyed as it seemed like the storm had passed.

The crowd then went crazy and turned the place upside down. People started throwing beer cans on stage. One man also went on to the stage to threaten the organizers before he was handled by the securities. The pictures of the incident have been shared by TMZ.

Another person was handcuffed and led away by the police. Eventually, the crowd started to disperse. People also posted angry comments on social media stating carnival rides were not cancelled because of the bad weather, and even the Night Ranger were allowed to perform.
