1000-lb Sisters star Tammy Slaton’s husband Caleb Willingham has passed away. He was 40. Known by his nickname Killa K and Double K, Caleb appeared on the hit TLC series along with his wife.
The news was confirmed by his stepmother Shirley Willingham. However, the cause of his death has not been revealed yet. Slaton first met Caleb at a rehab facility in 2022. The two got married in the fall of the same year, but split in May this year.
Tammy Slaton’s Husband Caleb Willingham Dies at 40
Tammy has released a statement confirming her husband’s passing. “I am devastated to share the news of my husband’s passing. He was my best friend and I loved him dearly. When I met Caleb he became my guardian angel and now he really is watching over me,” she said.
The 36-year-old added, “Our families appreciate everyone’s sympathy and ask that you respect our privacy at this time.” Tammy and Caleb’s relationship was featured in TLC’s 1000-lb Sisters. The show focuses on two sisters Tammy and Amy Slaton, whose combined weight is over 1000 lb.
TLC Releases Statement
After the news of Caleb’s demise broke, TLC posted a statement paying condolences to the departed soul. “We are deeply saddened to learn of Caleb Willingham’s passing. Our condolences go out to Tammy, his family, and friends at this difficult time,” wrote TLC.
A number of Caleb’s friends also posted social media tributes for him. “I can’t believe I’m even making this post, but today GOD called my big brother home. R.I.P. Caleb Willingham aka Killla K aka Double K aka one half of the dynamic WWF tag team champions The W Boys aka my biggest supporter. You will be forever loved and missed,” wrote a friend.
“This one hits too close to home man my heart can’t believe what I’m reading yall Don’t even know,” wrote another. A friend also penned, “This makes me so sad. Caleb was one of the sweetest guys I’ve ever known. I’m so glad he and I crossed paths many years ago.”
Tammy and Caleb Decided to Part Ways in May
The couple met at a rehab center in Ohio last year and soon fell in love. Caleb proposed to Tammy in October, and the couple tied the knot the very next month. Their wedding was featured in the season finale of 1000-lb Sisters which aired in March 2023.
Talking about her special day, Tammy had said, “You all knew me as Tammy Slaton, but now you’ll all know me as Mrs. Tammy Willingham. When I saw Caleb at the altar, I was just picturing doves and butterflies all around like God had opened up the clouds and let the sunlight in. It was magical. When I finally see her, my heart explodes.”
However, the romance was short-lived as the couple decided to part ways after only five months of marriage. Caleb apparently failed to stick to his rehabilitation diet and gained significant weight. This led to trouble problems between the two and the two decided to go separate ways.
