‘Sister Wives’ Star Leon Brown Comes Out As Transgender, Finally Shared Her Favorite Self

Pride Month worked wonders for Kody Brown and Meri Brown’s child Leon Brown has finally come out as transgender. Leon Brown announced on Tuesday that they are transgender, now exclusively using the name Leon with they/them pronouns. Leon was previously known as Mariah Brown. Leon is one of the 18 children Kody shares with four wives.

Here’s Leon’s Favourite Self…

Mariah (Leon) Brown has finally come out as Transgender. In a heart-warming Instagram post, Kody Brown’s only child Mariah, who now goes by the Leob, shared her favourite self with the world. She wrote: “Someone recently told me that I didn’t have to have all of my shit figured out in order for me to share myself with the world. So here’s Me, definitely not having almost any of my shit figured out, to let you know that I am trans. my name is Leon or Leo (i love both) and my pronouns are they/them.”

After gracefully revealing her identity to the world, Leon wrote, “I remember the first time that I knew I wasn’t a girl. I was pretty young & unfortunately, I grew up in a context that was incredibly gendered & restrictive so I continued to be socialized as a girl & later a woman. and here’s the thing, I’m finally ready to share my favourite self with the world. and that self is incredibly genderqueer, trans, and unapologetic.”

It Was Difficult To Live As A Girl…

Leon shared the Instagram post in a simple photo shoot of them in shorts and t-shirts standing outside a large door frame. The caption provided every insight into Leon’s difficult journey. Now, they feel like a free bird after coming out as a Transgender. In her Instagram post, Leon revealed how difficult it was to live like a girl as a young child when she already knew she wasn’t one.

She continued, “Being queer & trans are definitely some of my favourite parts of myself. and yet, there are so many things that I am learning to love about myself through this process. here’s to me getting to know myself, share myself, and continually evolve to be the person I am, to be my favourite self in all contexts.”

While setting some boundaries, Leon wrote, “I’m sharing this part of myself to let folks in, and also to set some boundaries. if you choose to not use my correct name or pronouns, then you do not need to speak to or about me. my name is Leo or Leon, and my pronouns are they/them. please only refer to me in that way**”

Fans and celebrities came forward to support Leon’s decision. Leon’s better half, Audrey Kriss was the first one to come forward and support. Audrey commented, “Love you so much and so proud of you 🤍” Aubrey Johansen wrote, “the first sentence, you said it 🔥🔥🔥 thanks for being you, Leo ❤️❤️”

A fan commented, “proud of you for being true to yourself! that’s a beautiful thing and very inspiring for many.” Another fan, who felt every word that Leon wrote, commented: “Thank you for your courage – I celebrate you so much! ❤️”

Meri reposted her child’s announcement on her Instagram story, captioning the post “You are my sunshine.” Well, it seems like their parents have accepted their identity and love Leon for what she is. Loen’s confession comes. as Pride Month is about to conclude. What a beautiful end for Leon, eh?
