Lizzo’s Shapewear Yitty to be Launched on April 12, will Include Sizes 6x to Xs

Three-time Grammy winner Lizzo is the latest celebrity to launch her own brand to the masses. Her brand Yitty is a size-inclusive shapewear line that is designed keeping all types of the body in mind. Sized XS to 6X will be available at Yitty. The brand is all set to launch on April 12 at 12 pm EST.

More About Yitty!

Initially, the brand will offer three drops. It includes Nearly Naked, Mesh Me, and Major Label. There will be a variety of choice in patterns, prints, and shapes for people of all sizes. The colorways will have names like Moody Bitch Taupe and Tempo Lavender, which is very on-brand for Lizzo.

Over 65% of the shapewear is made with recycled materials and is packed in 100% recyclable materials.

The brand has been in the works for over five years. It was named after Lizzo’s childhood nickname. Talking about her brand, 33-year-old Lizzo said “Instead of thinking about size in this linear way, we’re thing about it on a spectrum where everyone is included”. She also added “Everyone’s size is just their size. It’s not high, it’s not low. It’s not big, it’s not small. It’s just your size”.

Lizzo Felt, She Wasn’t Good Enough

Lizzo was tired of seeing restrictive shapewear that was uncomfortable and that no one actually wanted to wear. She decided to do something about it and came up with Yitty, a brand that Lizzo feels will allow women to feel “unapologetically good” about themselves.

While Lizzo is the face of the brand, Fabletics co-founder Don Ressler is also lend his expertise to the brand. The brand Yitty is launched in partnership with Fabletics, Inc.

Talking about the brand, Lizzo mentioned that it held a lot of meaning to her personally. “I felt that I was constantly being told through TV and magazines that my body wasn’t good enough. And, in order to be considered ‘acceptable’ I had to inflict some sort of pain upon it to fit into an archetype of beauty,” She said that she began wearing shapewear when she was in class 5th.

Fans Are Excited For The Launch

The feeling of not being able to fit in due to having a different-sized body is something a lot of people can relate to. When Lizzo launched Yitty on Instagram, it got almost half a million likes in 16 hours and over 4,018 comments.

Fans were clearly excited with one of them saying “The subtle beauty of 6x-xs is giving me life!”. Another excited fan commented “Yass! Take all my money”.

Other celebrities have also launched their brands. While some celebrities go towards skincare like Kylie Jenner’s Kylie cosmetics, other celebrities like Kim Kardashian have her own shapewear line called Skims. Skincare and shapewear are some of the most popular choices when it comes to celebrities launching their brands.

Fans and people of bigger sizes are looking forward to the launch date. One would know how good the brand really is when people finally get their hands on it. To be updated with all that is happening, people can sign up on the website https://yitty.fabletics.com/splash.
