Someone is not in the right mood to welcome the ”Holiday” Season!

TikTok and Chanel are definitely in a mood for a fight and hello, it’s not the normal fights that we have in our day-to-day lives. There’s a lot more!

Allow me to walk you through it.

TikTok is going all the way to roast Chanel on its 2021 advent Calendar. Whoa!

Chanel Advent Calender – What is it?

Heads Up! If you are planning to buy the Chanel advent calendar, you should probably reconsider.

Chanel recently launched its advent calendar remarking the holiday season. It costs a whopping $825 Million. Of course, it’s high and of course, as I said, you should reconsider your chances?

But for a brand like Chanel, it is very much obvious.

Chanel Advent Calendar was never a thing before. This was the first time Chanel launched the calendar to celebrate the 100th birthday of Chanel No. 5.

Elise Harmon, the social media mob, thinks she grabbed a chance to bring a ”luxury scam” to attention.

Chanel & TikTok & The Controversy!

The disappointed TikTok user, Elise, brought it to everyone’s attention and listed how disappointing the whole thing was.

Here is how things went downhill, aka, the full story.

Elise Harmon, a TikTok user from California, posted the video of the advent calendar Chanel while unboxing it.

“Am I crazy?” she questions during unboxing.

“Absolutely. But I’ve never seen a Chanel Advent calendar, so let’s see if it’s worth the hype.”

Ms. Harmon seemed impressed with the packaging and gave ”a 10 out of 10” for that. Moreover, she was also upset to open the box and figure out Chanel stickers. She also liked the ”hand cream”.

The items inside the box weren’t what she wanted and how they don’t do justice to the price tag.

Elise was unstoppable.

She posted eight more posts thereafter.

The post contained all the other items like perfumes, which she classified as ”good”. Lipsticks and Nail Polish, which again, were good. A Mirror, which didn’t live up to Harmon’s expectations. The Key Chain, which was okay-ish as per her remarks, a rope bracelet with a CC Wax Stamp, which was confusing to her, a Chanel dustbag, and a  mini snow globe.

And guess what happened?

The video subsequently had tons of views and Chanel ranked high on Twitter’s trending list.

People were mocking Chanel all over the Internet.

Later, Elise claimed that Chanel blocked her.

Soon later, Chanel addressed the claim, “The recent claim of a person being blocked by Chanel on TikTok is inaccurate. We have never blocked access to the Chanel TikTok page to anyone, because it is not an active account, and no content has ever been published. The page, therefore, appears empty to anyone who visits it. We are committed to sharing our creations with our followers on all social networks we are active on. Our pages are open to everyone, and our followers are free to express their feelings and opinions, whether they are enthusiastic or critical.”

Umm, okay, CHANEL!
