The First 2022 gameplay obsession is here. If you’ve been on Twitter in the last few days, you may have come across a game that everyone is playing and discussing. This online game is known as ‘Wordle‘.
And it is literally taking over Twitter as people continue to share mysterious patterns of green, yellow, and grey emojis across the timeframe. We’ve got you covered if you want to learn more about the game and how to play it.
To be honest, it’s quite simple to play, and everyone seems to be embracing it lately. You, too, can now join in on the trend and not be left out in the shadows. Let’s get started in the gaming world.
What Is ‘Wordle’?
Of course, before you can figure out how to play the game, you must first understand what it is about. You’ll enjoy this brilliant game as well. Wordle is an online word game developed by Josh Wardle. Josh is a programmer who previously worked on Reddit’s social experiments Place and The Button.
The game was originally brought to the attention audience in October 2021, and by January 2nd, 2022, Wordle supposedly had over 300,000 players.
What’s The Reason Behind The ‘Wordly’ Trend On Twitter?
You might be thinking, “Come on, it’s just a game, what’s the deal-breaker?” As previously stated, the game has been accessible since October 2021, so how did it suddenly become widely known? Keep up with the trend with us.
That is, without a certainty, due to the platform’s recent update. In mid-December 2021, Wardle (creator) included a “share” feature in the game. Allowing players to share their results in the form of a grid of square emoji, and the game went viral on Twitter. The ‘share’ feature wasn’t there before. Now everyone’s sharing their results on social media.
Added a share button to Wordle that generates a spoiler-free emoji grid for you. Shoutout to @irihapeta for inventing such a cool way to share your results each day.

Wardle created the game for himself and his partner to play before sharing it online. He has stated that he has no intention of monetizing it and that “it’s not trying to do anything shady with your data or your eyeballs… It’s just a game that’s fun.”

How To Play ‘Wordle’?
You need to learn the rules of the game first and later you can play better than anyone else. The purpose of the game is to guess a mysterious five-letter word known as “Wordle” in six trials which makes the game more interesting.
Every day, a five-letter word is picked, and participants must identify it in six attempts. After each guess, the characters are colored green, yellow, or gray.
- Green – It indicates that the letter is correct and in the correct position. Obviously, that’s what green is for always.
- Yellow – This indicates that the letter is in the answer but not in the proper spot. So, you definitely have to think it through.
- Gray – The color gray indicates that the letter is not in the response at all. So, which means you haven’t guessed the correct word.
After completing the puzzle, Wordle allows you to share the answers by creating an emoji grid that replicates the color pattern found on your accomplished puzzle. That’s what it’s all about, the ‘sharing‘.
Tips for Wordle:
1) Start with a word that has two vowels (ideally positioned #2&4 or #3&5).
2) If unsuccessful, do exactly the same for guess #2.
3) There are around 120 words featuring 3 of the same letter in a five letter word. Mostly “E” then “S”. Be aware.

Where To Find The Game ‘Wordle’?
Wordle is free to play; simply go to the website, make your assumptions, and that’s it for the day. You, like other gamers who wanted to play this game, and rushed into Google Story or the Apple Store, well the game is not available over there. For the time being, it is not an ‘app.’ It is only available on the initial website.
I mean, just because EVERYONE else is playing it.
