A Recent Vacation With The Biebers…
In a recent interview his My Way: The Las Vegas Residency, which opened July 15 at the Dolby Live at Park MGM, Usher poured love on his friend Justin Bieber and said the Grammy-winning artist recently “managed to hand out” while on vacation and stated that he is “doing great”, just over a month after revealing that he had been diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt Syndrome.
Usher stated that he took a vacation with Justin and his wife Hailey Bieber to Idaho and revealed his happiness that the duo managed to hang out. If you don’t know, Bieber disclosed last month that he was dealing with facial paralysis, a symptom of Ramsay Hunt syndrome. The announcement was followed by Bieber’s postponement of his North American tour dates as he recovers from the disease.
The “Love In This Club” singer stated, “As an artist, I think we are all going to experience some things that people may not necessarily understand. I think [Justin] has obviously taken the world on a journey. “I am happy that I was at the beginning of and I am still a part of to this day, as a friend.”
The former “Voice” coach added, “I think that whatever he may be experiencing right now, it’s actually really great to see that he has the support from his fans and his family.” Usher spoke at length about his friend and wished him great health.
What Is Ramsay Hunt Syndrome?
Ramsay Hunt syndrome is caused by the varicella-zoster virus (VZV), which causes chickenpox in children and shingles (herpes zoster) in adults. The syndrome occurs when a shingles outbreak affects the facial nerve near one of the ears. In addition to a painful shingles rash, it can also cause facial paralysis and hearing loss in the affected ear.
In Bieber’s case, the “Baby” singer revealed his health scare last month, speaking about facial paralysis in an Instagram video. He said: “As you can see, this eye is not blinking. I can’t smile on this side of my face. This nostril will not move, so there’s full paralysis on this side of my face.”
“For those who are frustrated by my cancellations of the next shows, I’m just physically obviously not capable of doing them,” Bieber continued at the time. “This is pretty serious as you can see.” Last month, his wife, Hailey Bieber stated that Bieber is getting better every day. She said: “Obviously it was just a very scary and random situation to happen,” the model, 25, explained. “He’s going to be totally OK, and I’m just grateful that he’s fine.”
Justin Bieber is currently said to kick off the first of his international shows in Lucca, Italy, on July 31. We don’t know yet if he’d be postponing the show or not but we really hope the singer makes it. We wish good luck and great health to Bieber.
