Twitch’s Atrioc Issues Apology For Seeing NSFW Deepfakes Of Fellow Streamers

Twitch streamer Atrioc, whose real name is Brandon Ewing, was caught live on stream, and the reason is pretty gross. The streamer was found seeing deepfake porn of co-streamers, Pokimane and Maya Higa. Apparently, he paid for NSFW deepfake content from a controversial site. Read on to learn more about this incident.

Atrioc May Have Paid For NSFW Content…

Famous Twitch streamer, Atrioc, whose real name is Brandon Ewing, was found looking at NSFW deepfakes of fellow streamers including Pokimane and Maya Higa. He was caught during a live stream while playing HITMAN 3. Atrioc tabbed out of the game for a moment and left all other windows open on the computer. One of the tabs contained the link to a deepfake website.

It appears that the married streamer paid for such NSFW deepfake content. The exposed tab showed a premium service hosted on an OnlyFans-like image-sharing site, where deepfake creators charge a $15 per month fee for unlocking the content.

Before the 31-year-old YouTuber could realise, people clipped and shared these tabs on social media. He received massive backlash from fans as it came out that he is acquaintances with some of the streamers and their partners.

Atrioc Issues A Tearful Apology…

After being exposed to visiting this website, Atrioc issues a tearful apology. Even his wife was seen crying in the video as she called the whole incident “deeply upsetting and extremely embarrassing,” but said that she believed Atrioc would “never do anything like this again.”

Atrioc explained in the video that he has a keen interest in AI and deep fake technology and called it art. He further added, “This is so embarrassing. But I was on a regular website, and there was an ad on every video… and then I click it, and then I’m in this rabbit hole.”

“I got morbidly curious and I clicked something. It’s gross and I’m sorry. It’s so embarrassing,” he continued. Atrioc also claimed that this is not a “pattern of behaviour” and that he had only looked at such content once. He even told his fans that he could show the receipt to prove that he purchased access to the site on the same day when the clip was made.

He concluded, “There is no excuse for it. I’m not defending it in any way, I think this whole category of stuff is wrong. QTCindrella, who was also a subject of such graphic content, urged fans to stop sharing the clip, and wrote on Twitter:  “Being seen “naked” against your will should NOT BE A PART OF THIS JOB.” Pokimane and Maya Higa have not commented on the matter yet.

Apart from this, Sweet Anita (another streamer) shared her frustration when she found her name attached to the controversy. “Don’t know whether to cry, break stuff or laugh at this point,” she tweeted. FYI, Twitch has a strict policy on NSFW content while on stream. The person who is found in such an act can face a permanent ban. No action has been taken yet against his misconduct.
