NCT 127’s “Sticker” is the Longest-Charting K-Pop Album on US ‘Billboard 200’ this Year

South Korean boy band NCT 127’s third Korean-language studio album “Sticker” is making a buzz in the music circles by ranking at 84th place on the Billboard 200 for the week ending on 25th December.

This marks the album’s 13th consecutive week featuring on the Billboard’s Top Albums chart after making a debut at 3rd position in September.

The Billboard 200 is actually a record chart that ranks the 200 most popular music albums from various artists in the United States.

NCT 127’s “Sticker” is the only K-pop album released in 2021 to feature consecutively for 13 weeks making it one of the longest Korean albums of the year.

Apart from NCT, BTS and Blackpink are the other two K-pop artists who made it for 13 straight weeks on the Billboard 200 earlier.

NCT 127 shared the big news of achieving this feat for its studio album “Sticker” by taking to its Twitter handle. It wrote, “NCT 127 The 3rd Album ‘Sticker’ enters the ‘Billboard 200’ chart for 13 weeks in a row!”

The ranking of the “Sticker” album is rock solid at 2nd position on Billboard’s World Albums Chart, 6th rank on Independent Albums Chart, 9th position on Current Best Selling Albums, and at 13th position on Charts of best-selling albums.

Sticker album was released by SM Entertainment this year in the month of September through Dreamus in South Korea and Virgin Music Label & Artist Services in the USA.

Sticker is a huge commercial hit for NCT as it managed to sell record 3.58 million copies. Sticker album is crowned as the best-selling album of all time from the house of SM Entertainment.

It is also the 2021’s best-selling K-Pop album and also by NCT 127 band. It received very positive reviews from music industry critics as well.

NCT 127 is the second sub-unit of the popular South Korean boy band NCT. SM Entertainment which has formed the band manages it.

The group consists of ten members – Lee Taeyong, Taeil, Johnny, Yuta Nakamoto, Doyoung, Jaehyun, WINWIN, Jungwoo, Mark Lee, and Haechan.
