Early Life

Mino Raiola was born in the year 1967 in Nocera Inferiore, Italy. His family relocated to Holland when he was an infant. His parents made a living from a sandwich shop in the initial days.


Mino Raiola played youth soccer for HFC Haarlem for some time and later quit playing to become head of the team in the year 1987. Raiola started his career in the world of football administration at the age of 25. His company Intermezzo assisted Holland international Bryan Roy’s transfer from Ajax to Foggia.

Raiola got close to Foggia manager Zdenek Zeman when he moved to Foggia to stay with Roy for seven months. He soon started developing networks in the Czech Republic.

Raiola quickly gained prominence in the agent world in Italy. In 1996 he negotiated Pavel Nedved’s move from Sparta Prague to Lazio. Over the years he became a key player.

Raiola negotiated the £89 million world-record transfer of Pogba to Manchester United in 2016. It was reported that he made approximately £20m from the Pogba deal.

FIFA’s Disciplinary Committee ratified a ban for a period of three months from the Italian Football Federation. The committee did not reveal the reason behind its move. Raiola filed a case against this move and emerged victorious in Italy’s Federal Court of Appeal.

Mino Raiola bought a house in Miami for 9 Million Euros which was once owned by notorious American mob boss Al Capone.
