4+ Years Of Constant Pain…
Marsai Martin shared a brave Instagram story Saturday (Dec. 10), revealing that she went under the knife to get rid of a “large” cyst, that’s been giving her constant pain for more than four years. However, the surgery was successful.
In the story, Marsai shared a black-and-white video from the hospital, and revealed: If you missed my live, long story short, I had surgery for my large ovarian cyst that gave me constant pain for 4+ years. I really don’t remember any of this sh*t because of the anaesthesia, lol. But I will say that I am very grateful to have family and educators by my side in support of this process.”
If you aren’t aware, an ovarian cyst is a “solid or fluid-filled sac or pocket (cyst) within on the surface of an ovary,” as described by the Mayo clinic. Doctors suggest that even though some cysts disappear in a few months, they may cause complications if they don’t. And well, they surely are cancerous.
Listen To Your Body, Health Is Wealth…
Marsai shared about her surgery to spread awareness among her fans. The “Little” star urged her fans to listen to their bodies, especially young women who may be going through the same thing or have a difficult menstrual cycle. “You are never alone, listen to your body, it always shows you signs. Heath is wealth,” she continued in her IG story.
On Sunday (Dec. 11), she again took to Instagram to provide a health update. The 18-year-old star thanked her fans for all their wishes and support. She revealed that the “ovarian cyst” surgery took place 10 days ago. She posted a gorgeous selfie of herself.
