Netizens Have Mixed Reactions…

Lil Uzi Vert has remained in news for the whole month. It started with injuring a fan with a phone and ended with them coming out as non-binary. Well, the rapper has done some productive things when it comes to music, like releasing the latest single “Space Cadet”. As for the new Instagram update, fans of Lil Uzi Vert have receievd mixed reactions

Lil Uzi Vert’s official pronouns change has brought mixed reactions from fans. Some say, ‘transphobic MFs gonna get pissed’ while some are just happy that they came out as non-binary.

One fan tweeted, “I stg not all of us gays are weird like this.” Another fan tweeted, “Watch people get upset about Uzi having pronouns”. One user wrote, “not to be mean but this shit is ass bro”. One user eliminated the need for pronouns by tweeting: “Not hating, but what’s the point of having pronouns? I know it means that people can’t assume your gender, but come on man what is they/them gonna be used in a sentence? (Srry for bad grammar idk how to put this into words).”

One fan raised debate by tweeting: “Some pronouns may simply make people uncomfortable. They/them can be used as a singular gender-neutral pronoun. Yes, it is correct to use they as a singular pronoun. It can be used when the person is non-binary, androgynous/doesn’t have a clear gender or if the person is unknown.”

Lil Uzi Vert is known for his facial tattoos except for his music. The controversial rapper came into the news last year when he stated that they lost his forehead diamond piercing during a live performance. If you don’t remember,  Lil Uzi Vert’s pink rock was almost 11 carats. They got this diamond to pierce on his forehead because he feared losing it, and said that they paid several instalments for this $24 million diamond.

The forehead diamond is not the most uncommon choice that Uzi made. Lil has been previously accused of being a Satanist.  It is said that they are inspired by Marilyn Manson’s worship of Satan, whom Uzi calls his biggest inspiration.

In 2017, Uzi created controversy by adding satanic imagery to his social media accounts and saying phrases associated with Satanish such as “666”. They also promote Satanism on their social media, which went far enough to warrant his Instagram access being taken from him by their record label.
