As celebrities like Sam Asghari and Leah Remini come forward to support the “Mahsa Amin” protest in Iran, Kanye West is another celebrity who has voiced his support for the youth of Iran. Instead of posting another disturbing rant, the “Donda” rapper has taken out time to urge his fans to support and honor the Iranian youth in their revolution against Iran’s 44 years of dictatorship.

Kanye West is another US celebrity who has come forward to voice his support for what’s going on in Iran. As the youth of Iran continues its revolution against the “horrible” government, Ye took to his Twitter and urged his fans to support and honour their revolution against Iran’s 44 years of dictatorship.
The “Donda” rapper wrote: “Iranian youth are leading a revolution against 44 years of dictatorship. The world needs to support them and honor their courage.” His tweet has received around 100.3K likes. Many Twitter users came forward to express their opinion on what’s going on in Iran.
One Twitter user, who goes by the name “Iranian American” replied, “Thank you Kanye for supporting the youth in Iran, You are totally right, these are fearless women and men confronting the Islamist dictatorship in Iran. The revolution is going to prevail!” A critic wrote, “Iran doesn’t want Us support.
What’s Going On In Iran?
Unless you’re living in a secluded cave, you may be aware that recently, Mahsa Amini, a 22-year-old innocent girl, lost her life following her detention by the country’s morality police for “improper hijab”. This sparked protests across the country as women protesters continue to cut their hair and burn hijabs. Not only this but the innocent girl was severely beaten by Guidance Patrol officers, an assertion which has been denied by Iranian authorities.
Many protestors from Iran have sought help from American celebrities to highlight the issue on the world stage. The Mahsa Amini protests began in Tehran on Sept. 16, 2022, against the government, and have resulted in civil unrest. A country, known for its rich culture before 1979, turned into a complete nightmare after Iran underwent a negative change since “the Iranian Revolution noticed the Islamic republic came into energy beneath Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini.”
The Islamic Republic regime took over and forced its ideology, propaganda and dictatorship on the people. It slaughtered, murdered and stole from innocent people.” Now, Iran is hated by every single country because of its horrible government and for being the biggest sponsor of terrorism.
The Cultural Survival Quarterly magazine has quoted, “The people of Iran today are reeling in shock and disbelief at the oppression, devastation, and violence the Khomeini regime has wreaked upon their land. Amnesty International previously reported that the number of “executions in Iran is more than that in the rest of the world combined.”
As for the current issues, nothing has been done, except for the fact that the United States Department of the Treasury has sanctioned the Guidance Patrol and several high-ranking Iranian officials. And yea, the war of narratives is being fought on social media. What do you think can be done to help?
As for the “Mahsa Amin” case, protests first sparked at the hospital where Amini was treated and then quickly spread to other cities, from Amini’s home province of Kurdistan to cities like Saqqez, Divandarreh, Baneh and Bijar. Now, the protest has turned into a full-blown “Iranian Youth Revolution” against Iran’s 44 years of dictatorship, which continues to suppress its own citizens.
Nothing much has been done to date, except for the fact that the United States Department of the Treasury sanctioned the Guidance Patrol and several high-ranking Iranian officials. But again, a “War of narratives” is being fought on social media as many celebrities come forward to support the cause. What are your thoughts on this?
Well written. Cheers!
